30 min step over and animal walking workout ⚽️🐻🐸🐔🦀🐰 • 3 Rounds 40s on : 20s off • 1.Stationary Step Overs 2.Bear Crawl 3.Step Over Left Foot, Move Right 4.Crab Walk 5.Step Over Right Foot, Move Left 6.Frog Jumps 7.Step Over Right,Left Foot, Move Right 8.Bunny Hops 9.Step Over Left,Right Foot, Move Left 10.Rotisserie Chicken • Set up 2 markers about 6 meters apart with 1 marker in between to mimic an opponent. In between the step over drills, there will different types of animal walking. These are amazing functional movements that engage just about every muscles group. They also help with coordination and muscular endurance as you should be running through each 40 seconds. By the end of this workout, you’ll not only be a step over master like Ronaldo, but you’ll also be able to move like a duck or a frog or a crab or a bear or a chicken on the rotissiere.😜Keep the intensity high and #getinvolved!

Fredag 9/11 - In teams of two, alternating movements, complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 30 minutes of: 20 Calories of Assault Bike or Concept 2 Bike Erg 20 Dumbbell Thrusters (55/35 lb DBs) 20 Dumbbell Box Step-Overs (55/35 lbs to 24″/20″ Box) 20 Pull-Ups 20 Box Jumps (24″/20″) Partners will alternate movements, so Partner A performs 20 Calories of biking, Partner B performs Thrusters, Partner A performs Step-Overs…and so on.

Thursday Thoughts: Having to modify workouts leaves me feeling like i didn’t work hard or get a good workout in for the day. Tip of the week: Stepovers 🦍 * increase hipstrength * unilateral work to even out imbalances Stepovers with dumbbells, with d-ball, with kettlebells, or just bodyweight. I have found this exercise to be incredibly useful to improve my glute/adductor activation, and in general improve hipstrength. By doing the movement sideways, you target more of the inner- and outer thighs, and ultimately build a more solid base in areas that don’t usually get paid enough attention to. And if you care about staying painfree and avoid injuries, I would consider adding some movements to your training in new, different planes and directions for that extra leverage. We do a lot of straight up/down work in CrossFit, so adding some side/side, rotations and accessory exercises for those smaller (possibly neglected muscles) might be a smart move. Do you think about which musclegroups you activate during an exercise?
