I had so much fun hanging with Wendy Johnson today. We went to church together which is something I’ve been looking for, for a very long time. She goes out of her way to do so much for others and she has the hugest heart. Thank you for being as amazing as you are!

"Client diaries" @shiv78704 walked in with a motive to lose weight , but post assessment we realised theres a lot more thats required in terms of mobility to combat his sedentary lifestyle , posture correction and to get him to love the process of getting back to a routine after a couple of years of break . Mobility , strength , conditioning and nutrition were switched and post 24 sessions we have managed to get his movement better , working on his strength and dropped 8 kilos on the weighing scale . @shiv78704 says ;- Joining a gym was a hard decision for me as I am a pretty lazy guy. Going through a rough patch, all I knew is that it was something I had to get to in order to feel healthier - both physically and mentally. After some scouting, I went to The Outfit and met with Tushar. He told me one thing that stuck - just get here and the rest will be taken care of. I kept up my end of the bargain and he his! It’s been 2 months since I started my sessions with him and I cannot be more pleased with the progress made. The struggle to wake up in the morning remains but there is definitely some energy in the place and the people that motivates me. I realize that I have a long way to go and am looking forward to many many more sessions. The humble sandwich 🥪 . Bread gets a bad rap... but bread actually has some pretty amazing benefits, it’s affordable, is a source of vegetarian protein, and it’s a boat for really fun toppings. . I get that bread doesn’t work for everyone, but unless you have an inflammatory disease or genuinely react badly to it (get the runs or don’t poop for days after), then you may just have fallen victim to the dietary fads of modern society. . What I do believe is that quality bread is what you should be going for. Don’t go for the generic, sasko loaf, they are loaded with nasties. Rather opt for fresh baked breads, fermented breads like sour dough and ciabatta, ancient grains. day 7 // lunch 🍂 . so this is the meal that kind of tipped me over the edge. I thought that I could handle going out for a large meal but it turns out I really can't 😔 I couldn't decide what to order, trying to find the lowest calorie item on the menu, so my mum chose for me. As soon as I ordered it I just started crying because I wasn't able to restrict. when it came out I froze. my anxiety levels went through the roof. Eggs are one of my biggest fear foods of all time (not really sure why), I also didn't know what veggies were in the hash cakes and everything was stacked on top of each other and I hate!! when food is touching! 😣 needless to say I cried through the whole thing, and I couldn't bring myself to finish all of it.. i couldn't eat the egg and tried my hardest with the bacon.. (I promise I gave it a red hot crack though). I was feeling so guilty and weird afterwards I just wanted to rip all of the fat off my bones :( . it's been about 3 and a half hours since lunch now, so I'm feeling a little bit better. if I've gained anything from it, I just have a way better understanding of my limits are at the moment. . I'm about to go to my dietician appointment where I have to eat a meal with the dietician and my family. It took a little while to be ok with posting this photo, as initially I wasn’t comfortable with how my body looked halfway through a pretty rough workout 🥵 But you know what? I love this photo. Sure, I don’t look super athletic or super skinny here, but this photo shows my concentration, how hard I’m working, and how much I try to push myself in the gym. Thanks to the excellent coaches at @tandemcrossfit I’m getting closer to my physical, mental and nutrition goals, and constantly learning new things along the way. It’s awesome to be a part of such a supportive environment, where we’re not pushed to be in competition with each other, only with who you were yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that. This is truly my happy place! It might not be much or anything spectacular, but it's mine and it's special to me. Only 19 months ago I started lifting weights in my living room... eventually I needed more equipment and space. So I moved into my old stinky garage 😝. That's where I continued my fitness journey over the next 12 months. This place changed me! It helped mold and create a new and better version of myself! It picked me up when I was down. It comforted me during some pretty difficult times. It gave me time for myself and the ability to fill my own cup and recharge. I recently remodeled the garage, so of course I had to do a little gym update too. Training 1/4 ✅ Der Fokus lag heute auf dem Oberkörper und obwohl ich nicht perfekt geschlafen habe, lief es ganz gut. Neben dem Training werde ich ab heute wieder verstärkt auf meine Ernährung achten. Wird Zeit, das Ganze mit etwas mehr Disziplin anzugehen. Das heißt ich darf zwar wieder die Carbs insgesamt etwas reduzieren (es fallen 20g Reis und 30g Carbs nach dem Training weg, die wir nach dem letzten Wettkampf wieder erhöht hatten), Cardio darf ganz leicht erhöht werden und täglich wird das Gewicht an den Chef geschickt, um zu überwachen, dass wir nicht zu viel Masse verlieren, haha 😄 Wenn ihr denkt "wow, was hat sie ein Glück", dann täuscht ihr euch vielleicht. Denn in so einer Vorbereitung hat fast jeder die Sorge, dass er nicht fertig wird, nicht definiert genug und gleichzeitig zu dünn ist 🤦🏼‍♀️ Daher würde ich wegen mir auch zero Carbs essen und noch mehr Cardio machen, denn wenn das bedeuten würde, meine Bestform zu erreichen, wäre es mir das Leiden wert. Für meine Ziele bin ich nämlich SEHR leidensfähig. ABER: das wäre der falsche Weg. Dafür habe ich meine Coaches @diebechts die auf mich aufpassen und wissen, dass ich es nur übertreiben würde und mich das nichts als hart erarbeitete Muskulatur kosten würde. Don’t let fear hold you back!!!! fear of judgment fear of hurting fear of the “what ifs” fear of failure Don’t let those fears prevent you from trying. Today I felt awful...the stress of a new job, a long day yesterday and 80 degree weather made me want to quit as soon as I started. I was afraid to even try because what if I failed? I don’t think it’s a bad thing to care about failing, but we have to also put it into perspective and remember that if we never do anything out of our comfort zone, we’ll never grow, we’ll never get better! While I didn’t hit all of my prescribed paces, I’m proud of myself for putting myself out there and trying. I could’ve quit, but remember that quitting is a choice. Today I’m proud of myself for finishing 👊🏽.
