Police Officers don’t always have optional schedules. ⁣ ⁣ Shift work, night shift, on call, Mandatory OT, lack of sleep, etc. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve worked in Law Enforcement for 8 years, I get it! ⁣ ⁣ But you have to prioritize your training if you want to have a long and healthy career. ⁣ ⁣ Today I didn’t have 60 minutes to workout. But I did have 30 minutes. ⁣ ⁣ Some people would say screw it, if I can’t get my normal 60-90 minutes in, I’m not going to train. ⁣ ⁣ That is the wrong approach! ⁣ ⁣ You chose a career where people depend on you. The community. Your partners. Your family. ⁣ ⁣ You need to take advantage of any small windows you have and train. Maximize the time within that session.⁣ ⁣ This is the metabolic session I did today. Took me 20 minutes total.⁣ ⁣ 1A) 2-KB swings x20 seconds. No rest ⁣ 1B) KB renegade rows x 6. Rest 30 seconds, then repeat. ⁣ ⁣ Repeat this superset for 15-20 minutes total. ⁣ ⁣ Try this out and let me know what you think. ⁣ ⁣

Let’s get real for a minute. : Sometimes you have to fight a battle more than once. And that’s OKAY 👌🏼 Just remember that you will win. 🏆 Remember that you’re always stronger than your battle, because winning the war is better than winning the battles. : -For some people, anxiety is a normal part of their lives. It’s an occupational hazard of being a part of a world filled with chaos. Anxiety isn’t an objectively bad feeling, despite being unpleasant. It alerts you of danger, reminds you to prepare for everything, and makes it easier for you weigh risk-reward ratios. All that being said, you should be prepared to fight anxiety if it becomes a daily nuisance and starts negatively affecting your mental health- : To some, anxiety is “just an excuse” or my favorite “you’re over reacting”. But for those who live with it Day in and Day out- it freaking sucks. It is literally waking up not knowing how you’re Day is going to go- how your mood is going to change- what events can alter you to become overly anxious. It’s not easy, TRUST ME I KNOW. 😔 : It’s even harder when you are a firm believer in avoiding all the 💊 prescription crap they want to shove down your throat. Been there. Done that. And today I learned that my thyroid medication not being the correct dosage can effect my anxiety as well 🙄 : So find something that helps you when you get that anxious feeling. •stay active •limit your caffeine intake •stay hydrated •have a person to talk to who understands you •pick up a hobby that soothes you •take a bath •turn on some pop music and dance : For some, anxiety comes and goes with stress. For others, their anxiety is so intense it causes stress. Some, live in an anxious stage 24/7 (bless their hearts) because it’s NOT easy. But it is okay- and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. : I am right there with you. Funny fact- I hate sweating.. sweating gives me anxiety- except when I’m lifting. It’s so crazy, it releases all of those toxins and I feel the anxiousness leaving my body as I am lifting. : So again, remember; you may deal with battles everyday; but in the end- YOU WILL WIN THE WAR ✅

This is a 3 ingredient salad and has a fabulous flavour combo. Fennel thinly sliced (I used my mandolin) 2 grapefruits cut into chunks Mixed greens After thinly slicing the fennel, cut the grapefruit into chunks, keep the grapefruit peel nearby, don’t discard yet. Combine all three ingredients then take all those grapefruit peels and squeeze with all your muscle strength 💪🏼😬 the excess juice into the salad. This serves as your salad dressing. So we incredibly simple and delicious. Recently I’ve been off the gym because of my move, so I’ve given my body the rest it needed before hitting it hard with an y Upper body session today that left my arms shaking and my face SWEATING (thank god for air con in gyms - am I right?!) . Taking a little break isn’t bad, if anything it has helped me to refocus and get back into the habit of going to the gym because I want to, rather than out of habit. . It’s taken almost a month but I have now settled into a routine that is balanced between socialising with friends and going to the gym which really is what it’s all about! Not giving up time with your friends but also not skipping out on your own health and well-being. . . SO what are your goals over summer? Shotgun rows! Using a cable attachment on the lowest setting, take a few steps back so when you’re fully stretched out there’s still tension on your lat. Use a split stance with your opposite foot forward.. make sure to fully stretch out at each rep!! 💪🏻💪🏻🔥

Some tricep footage from today’s workout! My triceps were screaming! Tricep rope press downs immediately into overhead tricep extensions with the rope. I was trying to focus on keeping my elbows still so I could minimize momentum! Give it a shot 🔥👍🏼

Happy 4th!! First time trying the handstand push-ups.. took me 4 sets to get me anywhere close to decent form.. these are tough but I love the challenge!!
