Not the prettiest lunch but super tasty! This is what I ate for lunch almost every day this week (I had a meeting downtown for work so I fasted since that was the only vegan option lol). A baked sweet potato with my low sodium chili, hummus, cilantro, and green onion 😋 . Want the recipe for my low sodium chili? Look no further 😉 . Ingredients. 2 cans no salt added diced tomatoes 1 can no salt added tomato puree 1 can no salt added kidney beans 1 can no salt added black beans 1 can no salt added pinto beans One large sweet onion, diced 3-6 cloves garlic, minced (to taste) 2 large carrots, diced 3 portobello mushrooms, diced (or 1.5 cups white/crimini mushrooms) 1 red bell pepper, diced 12 oz frozen corn 2-4 tablespoons tomato basil garlic Mrs. Dash (to taste) 1 teaspoon chili powder (to taste) Fresh lemon juice (at the end) Green onion and cilantro for garnish . Directions. Saute onion till translucent, then add garlic and saute another minute, then add other veggies, beans, sauce, and spices (except lemon juice). . Bring to a boil then turn down and cover, cook on low for an hour (or medium for half an hour but I think lower for longer tastes better!). . Add lemon and green onion when you're ready to eat. . 📍The Rule of ✌🏻s Meal prepping is not the sexiest way to stay adherent to a diet...but it is effective. Preparing meals ahead of time... 🔸Prevents binging 🔸Keeps you on track 🔸Helps you meet your macros 🔸Saves money and time When meal prepping for the week, you should follow the Rule of 2s ⬇️⬇️ . You pick (at least) 2 proteins, 2 veggies, and 2 carbs each week to prepare your meals. Then rotate these weekly to ensure variety in your diet preventing you from getting bored, keeping you on track even longer. Meal prepping should be unique to you. Some want all of their meals prepped ahead of time on Sundays so they just have to grab and go. Others want a bit more freshness in their foods. Whatever your preference is, you just have to prepare for it. If you like everything prepped, then cook everything on Sunday and pre-portion into containers. If you want a little bit of freshness, then have all the foods you picked for the week prepped, meaning washed, cut, or cooked (like protein or carbs) so it's ready to be assembled. Did you ruin your progress by going off track for 24 hours? . . We went to sushi last night and I smashed! 🍣🍤The photo on the left was taken when I got home, full, bloated and happy! . . Did I track the meal? No . . Did it cause me to ruin all my progress? No . . Am I back on track today? Ya better believe it! . . As my clients graduate to the next level in their programs, I often assign cheat meals, cheat days or even diet breaks. . . Some coaches dont agree with this approach because yes, you can ruin an entire weeks deficit in just one meal. . . However, the way I prefer to coach my clients is 1) getting them healthy 2) getting them to their goal 3) teaching them how to sustain their results when our time together is complete . . This means, assigning days where they need to practice intuitive eating and we start small with untracked meals, "cheat meals". . . I advise them to drink water and eat normally throughout the day leading up to the meal. . . Then, eat what they enjoy! But stop when they are satisfied NOT stuffed! . . This is an exercise to help alleviate the pressure of diet and structure. It is also to help them learn to listen to their bodies. . . Many of my clients who've been dieting for a while and gained amazing results are extremely apprehensive when I assign these cheats. They think they'll ruin all their hard work. . . Girl, let me tell you something. You've been "dieting" your whole life because you haven't given yourself the chance to learn how to eat intuitively! . . Learn to listen to your body. . . Are you really hungry or just thirsty? . . Do you really want the whole box of oreos or will 3 satisfy your craving? . . And have you been on track all week with no slip ups? Ingredients: 2 cups of almond flour A pinch of salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3 eggs 1 tbsp. coconut oil 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 cup fresh blueberries 1/4 cup maple syrup Directions: * Preheat the oven to 325 degrees * Mix dry ingredients in a bowl * Mix wet ingredients in another bowl * Combine both wet and dry ingredients together and add the blueberries * Put in muffin cups and bake for 20-25 minutes

The crockpot saved my life! 🙌🏻 . Crock pots are seriously my favorite. They are a lifesaver if you don’t like cooking or just have absolutely no time to cook. This meal took me less than 5 minutes to throw together, and will be ready by lunch time without much work or thought! I’ll throw whatever is left in a big Tupperware and have it for the next few days! . 1lb of chicken breast 16oz can of pineapples Crushed red pepper Garlic powder A pinch of stevia A red and orange bell pepper . Throw it all in your crockpot with one of these disposable crockpot liners and cook on high for 4 hours! . Another easy 10 minute lunch! Baked wild salmon seasoned with olive oil, lemon and ground black pepper with a fried egg cooked in avocado oil, sautéed garlic mushrooms, spinach and half an avocado. I cooked the egg, spinach and mushrooms one after another in a non stick pan (no need to dirty up more dishes) while I baked the salmon on 400 for 10 minutes in my toaster oven. Taco bowls=go to meal when I have NO idea what to make 🙈 Quinoa, homemade tomatillo pico, grass fed beef, and some sriracha and Greek yogurt mix on top! Greek yogurt is a great “substitute” for sour cream. Tons of protein in there and tastes almost the same especially if you spice it up with something like hot sauce. No go make some taco bowls and eat up! What’s your go to healthy dinner?

I got in the habit this past year of snacking at night. Not because I was hungry but just because I wanted to. I would eat a full dinner and then find some weird combo after I was done (tortilla chips + honey peanut butter was a go-to 😂). After I started my nutrition program it really made think about food in such a different way and gave me concepts to repeat to myself whenever I was tempted to eat in a way that was not helpful to my health. “Dinner and done” was so huge for me. I was just mindlessly snacking on things just because which would leave me feeling bloated and tired. Don’t get me wrong, I have treats but now in a way that is much more balanced. I have to ask, what is your favorite odd snack combo?

Because let’s face it. We don’t all have time to spend hours cooking a fancy meal. If you are kinda LAZY like me… turn that LAZINESS into EFFICIENCY. Cook simple meals like this in big batches and make 3 or 4 meals… maybe even more. Cooking your own food is so much better for a number of reasons. 💰IT IS CHEAPER 💪🏻IT IS HEALTHIER (you can control portions, use more healthy food and add less extra stuff) ⏰IT SAVES TIME (cooking 5 meals in an hour is more time efficient than ordering takeaway)

Got some tikka masala simmer sauce from @aldiusa and cooked 12 chicken thighs in it, then shredded the chicken. I then served it with some white rice and broccoli. Yum!

Coffee lovers, this one is for you! I talk about macros all the time, but they’re not the only thing worth counting- caffeine is helpful to keep track of as well! Between coffee and preworkouts, a lot of us consume a TON of caffeine every day. Understand that everyone is different, and while 200mg might be a ton for one person, 800mg might be the norm for another. We build tolerances, so if you consume 200mg every day for a long time, odds are you’re going to need to up your intake to feel the effects again! I probably consume close to 500mg every day myself. Find some recipes, make a shopping list then spend a few hours on a Sunday preparing meals for the week ahead. . 🍶 Think about what you eat on a daily basis and figure out where you could make healthy swaps. For example, if you pour maple syrup over your morning porridge or pancakes, try fibre syrup instead. It looks and tastes similar but has far less calories. . 🤾‍♀️ Also think about how you can burn more calories by moving more. You could walk to work rather than taking the bus or do some group exercise classes. 🍤 PAD THAI With Prawns 🍤 . By making this at home, we can up the veggies and reduce the amount of noodles, sugar and oil! The secret to making it taste authentic is the tamarind paste ... don’t be tempted to skip it! ——- Ingredients: . 100g cooked king prawns 20g peanuts (= approx. 20 nuts) 1 tsp oil 1 large shallot (or 2 small ones), sliced thinly 1 egg 200g ready-cooked pad thai noodles 3 spring onions, sliced very thinly lengthwise 2 medium sized carrots, sliced very thinly lengthwise 80g/3oz beansprouts . for the sauce: . 1 tbsp tamarind paste 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce 1 tsp fish sauce 1 tsp fibre syrup (or other sweetener) 2 tbsp water ——- Mix all of the sauce ingredients together and keep aside. . Heat a wok over a medium heat and add the peanuts. Stir until browned, taking care not to burn them, then transfer to a chopping board and chop. Keep aside. . Put the wok back over the heat, turn it up to the maximum level and add the oil. Make sure you have all of your ingredients at hand and next to you before starting to stir-fry. . First, add the shallot and stir-fry for 1 – 2 minutes. Move to the edge of the wok. Then, break the egg into the centre of the wok and stir continuously until it is scrambled – this should only take seconds. . Add the noodles, spring onions, carrots, half of the beansprouts and the pad thai sauce to this mixture and cook for a few minutes, stirring continuously. Then, stir in the rest of the beansprouts. . 💫21 day fix baked oatmeal cups 💫 • Cause oatmeal in a packet is loaded with sugar but plain oatmeal is gross. 🥴🤷🏽‍♀️ • INGREDIENTS coconut oil or coconut oil spray 2 large eggs, lightly beaten 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 2 large bananas, mashed OR 2 cups unsweetened applesauce. (I used 1 of each) 1 T raw honey 2 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats 1 T ground cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 cup unsweetened almond milk toppings of your choice: berries, fruit, nuts, pure maple syrup, chocolate chips INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat muffin tin with coconut oil. Combine eggs, vanilla, bananas and honey in a large bowl. Mash bananas and mix well. Set aside. Add oats, cinnamon and baking powder in a small bowl, then stir well and combine with banana mixture Stir in almond milk and mix well. Divide oatmeal evenly between prepared muffin cups and add toppings of your choice! Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brown. Cool slightly and serve immediately, or save for the week ahead! NOTES Makes 12 muffins Each muffin is 1/2 Yellow and 1/2 Purple. If you add chips or nuts, be sure you factor that in. Weight Watchers freestyle points – 2 points per muffin. All the crunch and flavour of a spring roll in a bowl! 🤗Here’s what I’ve got: - Chicken mince cooked with 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tbsp minced ginger, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil and salt and pepper. - shredded carrots - shredded cabbage - @slendier noodles (or you can substitute vermicelli noodles) - Chang’s crunchy fried noodles - sweet chilli sauce Enjoy guys!! ..AND SO MANY PEOPLE DO IT WRONG.. (VEGANISM THAT IS).. 🤣 - Why? Because a poorly planned diet (vegan or not) is going to have less than ideal outcomes. - - But a thoughtfully planned vegan diet is suitable for everyone, as long as it has a whole food focus. - Here are some common solutions; - ▶️Low Energy; could be due to not eating not enough calories. Meat and animal products tend to have higher calories due to thefat content. It could be as simple as just not eating enough plant based foods. - ▶️Bloating/Gas; If someone was to go vegan overnight they tend to still think they need more protein they actually do. The plant based sources of protein tend to be foods like lentils, beans, legumes. Foods that aren't typical in an omni diet. By suddenly adding in a-lot of new-ish foods your gut microbiome isn't used to dealing with them. The gut has different strains of bacteria, each with a specific function & thrive on different kinds of fibre (food to multiply). Start adding in alot of new fibre, your body can't deal with it as-well so it is much better to slowly introduce the new foods. Gas is food being fermented which, as long as it's not uncomfortable for you or others around you is beneficial (see my podcast episode 5 on this with @theguthealthmd) - ▶Everything else; Some people just don't think or take supplements. On any-way of eating there are going to be things that we lack. Folic acid added to bread, & iodine added to table salt. As a vegan, there are things that we need too. B12, Vit D and Long Chain Omega 3 from Algae. This is on the assumption that you are eating 80% whole plant food, not just a junk food vegan - otherwise you would need alot more. - Last thing, if you had a crappy diet before going vegan, just by simply cutting out animal products isn't really going to make it any better, try adding in more variety of plants. - Plant Based Veganism is like sex, it's better for long term health and happiness - Veganism is like sex, if you talk about it at the dinner table there are going to be questions - Veganism is like sex, if..... ( finish off the sentence in the comments) .

And I'm not going to lie, I cried making this one...not because I got frustrated making it or anything, but because the onions we're STRONG!!! 😂 . 👌Also totally recommend Walmart Grocery Pick Up if you are trying to save on time or if you don't like grocery shopping!!
