Transformation Tuesday. I was frustrated with myself going into this past weekend. Being a little heavier than I had been in a while at 185. But if it wasn't for that 10 year challenge I realized I wasn't still 260 plus lbs. And yes that pic on the left was 10 plus years ago. I have been able to maintain my weight the last year 178 and have gotten much better physically. Sometimes we just have to be thankful and happy along your journey. So far from where I want to be. But not slowing down any time soon. And I'm working on a totally new physical package this year. Hmm, those brownies look so yummy, but I can't. Maybe just a bite? No, no I shouldnt!! . Shoot, girl get ya a brownie!! . YOU can eat sweets, in moderation. Now I ain't telling you eat a brownie, then eat another and another, now that's a no no. But you don't have to not eat "junk" all together to get your body you want!! . YOU can eat some sweets, and maybe even a soft drink every now an again ? . Now if you can eat low carbs, healthy all the time, fruits, vegis, no junk food, no pop, I give it to you, that's amazing!! BUT I can't an if your like me you gotta have some sweets lol. . Don't give into temptation all the time, but if you are dieing to have a bit of chocolate, piece of cake or a piece of brownie get you a piece. Don't over do yourself in working out the next day, and don't be hard on yourself just bcuz you did. . YOU are still working on your journey, you did NOT give up, you deserve to have a little something for your hard work right?😉 . . . 🚵‍♀️💚Just finished a 130km ride. Beautiful start along two different lakes followed by a river. Only downside of the ride is the ride back on the high way. Seems pretty hard to avoid the high ways in New Zealand as the inland roads are pretty short and most of them are rocky mountainbike trails. Although I love the beautiful high way roads, I also think it's crazy to put yourself on the same small road as all the cars, buses and truckers that most of the time go full speed. Make sense that not many people here have a road bike. New year, new week, new goals 🏅 I don't have that kind of goals about stop smoking, stop drinking, lose weight or, what it else could be.. Normally I never start new goals in the new year, but new goals when I find something I really want. It doesn't matter for me if it's a new year, new week or special day, I do it, when I think about it and want something 🤗 .. But this time I have one special goal, I will run ocr elite this year. Ocr is my passion, I love it more than anything. It motivates me every day to train and be better, it gives me a adrenaline kick I can't describe and it makes me feel I'm in my right element. It's fun, but hard, the races is never the same and you use your body on all ways, I love that! So I will use 2019 to work hard for hopefully run elite before the end of the year and that means also that I'm need to start running. I hate running, I run only when I run the races, but running is 50% of it and I will give me 110% to achieve my goal, so today I had my first 5,5 km morning run and I'm actually looking forward to my next run 🏃 IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW BAD YOU WANT IT. My life motto that with hard work, dedication and “consistency” anything is possible. You will have your highs and lows because you are HUMAN! However, staying on track even in your lows is where you are building the most muscle. Your brain is one of the most powerful muscles that needs to be trained on a daily basis. How you talk to yourself, your perception, belief system, and thought process determines whether you “fight or flight” when you are faced with a “threatening” situation. Even if you are a flyer you can be trained to be a FIGHTER! . . I say this again and again. I have always fought for everything that I have. I carved out the path, I worked for it, and rerouted a million times and I am still going. I have hurdles I deal with on a regular basis and believe me there are days when I am like “when is it enough, Brooke?” When are you going to put it to bed? I wash my face and say.... NOT UNTIL ITS DONE! . . I may not be the most talented, but I will not go down without a battle. This is something I can say 37 years into the game. It’s not easy. Confidence was not instilled in me, but persistence was! My parents started with nothing and built their life from the ground up. My husband and I are collectively doing the same. Keeping the thought process and mindset on the right track comes with practice, a solid support system, determination, and outside inspiration. Just realized I didn't get any shots of two of my athletes during our practice race this morning. Oops! Nevertheless everyone did very well. Some learned where they can tweak to improve, which is a wonderful reason to do a practice race. I love the smiles of our mom-to-be on the course, who showed herself she's going to be fine. We were all very proud and happy for her. They're all definitely ready.
