Every day is a good day when you’re doing something you are passionate about. Today I got to put Miss Megan through a awesome HIIT workout and @rosaievans caught us! Best thing about working with Megan, her willingness to trust me 100% and she will finish every last set/round/time no matter what. We’ve been working together almost a month and tonight we saw some muscle definition coming in during our crazy training session. Everyone progresses differently but since making simple adjustments to her nutrition she’s seen some changes. The final event @canwestgames , 3 rounds of 10 wallballs 30 lbs , 30 double unders followed immediately by 3 rounds of 6 axel bar front squats ( don’t remember the weight but remember that it was awkward and heavy ) plus 3 dball 150lbs over shoulder . This was end of last round . Tonight has been amazing. Microwave dinner #singlegirlnight & spending time planning out my next bootcamp. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although it’s extra work after I spent all day at ‘work’, I love that this is my outlet. . Curtesy of @jmudick: the poor girls HACK SQUAT! 😜 . . No hack squat machine no problem, just pay close attention to your set up! . . I needed something really target the under cheeks today and Jerame gave me this guy to try out. Yes, I’ve seen it before but never gave it try, so today was the day! . 1. We don’t have a landmine drilled into the ground so we substitute with a 45lb plate up against the wall, warehouse gym hacks 😉 2. Lock in a Barbell and you will need to at least have a 10lb bumper plate on the end. Lay your back and head flat agains the plate and feet out in front. **Now remember, we are trying to imitate a hack squat. On a hack squat, your feet will not be directly underneath you, same goes for this. 3. Allow for the bar and plate to guide where your hips need to go, just like it would feel on the machine! 4. DON’T go down to far so that you lose tension in the glutes and hamstrings. KEEP YOUR TUMMY TIGHT! . . I paired this guy with some box squat, sumo deadlifts, lying leg curls, Cable kickback, leg press and called it a day!💪🏼 . . My booty was burning 🔥, my hammies were lit up and ya girl be crawling out the gym!

Today is a rest day & honestly I needed it. We’ve been go-go-go lately so it was nice to sleep later & take it easy this morning. Sometimes when life starts to feel overwhelming or my to do list seems ever-growing it’s easy for me to get crabby, be in a negative headspace, or even take it out on people I love. #sorrycharlie . What I have learned is that you get to choose every single day how you take on that day. So I choose to find the joy, to shine bright & to be grateful for all things in my life even the not so fun “learning opportunities.” . We only get to live this day once.
