Bicep/tricep workout 💪🏻 3 supersets: 1. Barbell curl 4x8 ➡️ tricep extension 4x12 2. Cable rope tricep extensions 4x12 ➡️ alternating dumbbell curls 4x12 3. Overhead tricep extension with rope 4x12 ➡️ zottman curls 4x12 Finish with 20 minutes of sprints. 60 seconds on 120 off.

Tricep rope pull down Works the Triceps ( Bingo wings ) Here's a great exercise that i see many people use with incorrect form resulting in less engagememt from the Triceps. Here im showing how you can get the most from each rep. Im stood tall, my shoulder blades are squeezed down and back, my rib cage and chest is lifted and i have tightened my core and bum to stabilize. I've locked both arms into my sides and only focus on the push through my triceps only moving the elbow joint, theres no momentum, i stop at the top and squeeze at the bottom of each rep. I start with my hands apart pushing down and out to the sides. When this becomes to hard i keep my hands together and focus on getting my arms straight to contract the triceps to complete more reps at a challenging weight. To increase muscle and to "tone" try a mixture of rep ranges start with 2 sets of 8- 12 and finish with 2 sets of 15-20. Pick a weight thats challenging for the desired rep range. The lying barbell tricep extension is one of the best exercises for building muscle on the back of your arms. . The primary muscle worked is the triceps, which are an important muscle to develop because they make up two-thirds of your upper arm, and yet the biceps usually get more attention and priority from the average person. . If you are looking to improve definition and strength in your arms, this exercise should be included in your program. . When performed with good form, the triceps must do virtually all of the work. A tremendous overload can be placed on this small muscle group and you'll see significant development in a short amount of time. . Be careful not to move at the shoulder joint or use your lats to pull the bar over and into the extended position. . How To Do A Lying Barbell Tricep Extension: . While holding a barbell over your head with palms facing forward, lie on your back on a flat bench with your head close to the end of the bench. Your grip should be shoulder width. . As you inhale, lower the bar by bending at the elbows and while keeping the upper arm stationary. Keep lowering the bar until your forearms are perpendicular to the floor. Keep the elbows in at all times. . As you exhale bring the bar back up to the starting position by pushing the bar up in a semi-circular motion until the lower arms are also parallel to the floor. anybody else absolutely love to train triceps?! 🙋🏽 . here’s a compound set from my workout earlier this week: 1️⃣ SINGLE ARM REVERSE TRICEP EXTENSION: fave from the 🐐 @smith.julian! you can do these kneeling or standing. 2️⃣ TRICEP KICKBACKS: shortened up my range of motion on this exercise and I feel the tension so much more! super important to go slow and controlled. . do 12-15 reps of each. my favorite thing to do is to do exercise 1 and 2 both with my right arm, then switch and do both with my left arm. the burn is twice as good 🔥

💪🏽Close Grip Dumbbell Press💪🏽 . 🏋️‍♂️The standard Close Grip Bench Press is normally done with a barbell, taking a shoulder-width grip on the bar while keeping your elbows tucked in beside your body while you press. . 😩One of the problems you might encounter with the Close Grip Barbell Bench Press is shoulder joint pain…the closer-in position can put more stress on the joints, especially when the hands are in the normal pronated grip on the bar. There is also a strong tendency for the elbows to flare out, putting even MORE stress on the shoulders. . 👍🏼The close grip dumbbell press can address both of those problems. . 👌By using dumbbells, your are not locked into a set shoulder position, like you are with a barbell. This helps ease shoulder pain. 🙌As well, by holding the dumbbells in a neutral (palms-facing-in) grip, there is very little tendency for the elbows to flare out…all you have to do is maintain that neutral position and the elbows will stay tucked in, helping to keep the focus on the triceps. . ✅I even like to touch (squeeze) the dumbbells together throughout the movement which allows some more chest activation. I encourage most of my patients with shoulder pain to take a break from barbell chest press and move to dumbbells while we work on their rehab. This allows them to continue to strength train, but gives their shoulders some time to heal. When you hit PR’s by accident...I picked up the 70 lb Barbell not paying attention for my 2nd set of Skull crushers and only noticed after I finished my set...so of course I had to try again and here is the 3rd and last set.
