➡️TURKISH GET UP / PARADA TURCA 🔼¿Qué trabajo con este ejercicio? 🔼Respuesta: Movilidad articular, estabilidad, CORE, control motor. - La función de todas las posturas involucradas es como entrenar planchas pero en diferentes posiciones con diferentes apoyos. ✔️- La variedad de posiciones hace trabajar todos los músculos responsables del núcleo: recto abdominal, oblicuo mayor, transverso, oblicuo menor, cuadrado lumbar y grupo espinal. ✔️- También trabaja musculatura secundaria del núcleo como los glúteos, cuádriceps, isquiotibiales, dorsal y fascias relativas. - Es un trabajo simétrico de planchas. - Las planchas de cada postura resisten la flexión del torso, la extensión, la rotación y la inclinación lateral. - Es uno de “los mejores ejercicios de core triplanar” según Mcgill - Contiene posturas de lateralización cruzada (planchas con apoyos de lados diferentes). -⏱️ Al ser prácticamente un gran encadenado de planchas recomiendo enfáticamente practicar cada postura lo más LENTO posible y quedarse al menos ocho segundos en cada posición para obtener los beneficios que nos da la plancha de cada postura. #tgu #turkishgetup #paradaturca #personaltrainer #core #absworkout #entrenamientofuncional #entrenadorpersonal #pesas

Good mix of kettlebells, bodyweight and conditioning today. I’ve gone long on my conditioning pieces in the last few days and after putting @_keko3 through the matrix sprints yesterday, I thought I’d follow suit and pretend to be an athlete. Try to hit the ATP-CP a little more. Worst 10s ever. Incline is 7%. Very good for developing sprint mechanics. Last 3 I struggled with. TGU + 3 strict press hit 36kg/79lb on both sides which I was happy about. Tore my hand on the 8th round of bar muscle ups do I called it. 48 bar muscle ups is still a decent day. Bit of abs to finish out. The benefits of the Turkish Get Up are endless. ⠀ The next time someone asks you what the benefits are, hand them a light object (may be a yoga block, shoe or a light kettlebell). Tell them to do three continuous Get Ups on each side. As they’re getting up and down, name a few on this list. ⠀ My personal favorite is GETTING OFF THE FLOOR. ⠀ I’m tryna live for another 100 years and it won’t be a feeble life. I don’t want to be scared of breaking hips. I don’t want to be scared of falling. ⠀ I’m practicing getting up off the ground with weight overhead not only for the immediate benefits but so that I’m still doing 24kg TGUs in 100 years. ⠀ It’s not too late to learn. Things I'm working on: 1. Making the transitions in the Turkish Get Up a little more fluid. 2. Angling my camera correctly for once, though I suspect this will never change 🤷 3. Stopping eyeing my kettlebells suspiciously. 👀👀 Turkish Get Ups are my favourite KB movement. 🤓 Something about how graceful the movement can be and how fixed your attention needs to be on that big hunk of iron perched above your head, there's no room for distraction 😅 When taught correctly it's a fantastic movement for promoting shoulder strength, mobility and stability as well as teaching your body how to maintain a stable and braced torso under load. 💪 #strongfirst #strongfirstwomen #hardstyle #kettlebell #turkishgetup #eyesonbell #noneedforstankeyethough #moobaastrongmangym #chiangmai

One of the many, many reasons that the get-up is such a helpful movement to have as a staple in your strength training; it challenges your ability right your head and eyes while doing something difficult. Hellooooo vestibular-occular-cervical reflex(es)! It is a tried and true strength technique to fix ones eyes forward (sometimes up or looking up depending on the lift) and burn a whole in whatever poor thing you are murderously glaring at. But, if you are only ever staring forward performing power lifts, and your head always held vertical matching the horizon with your regular exercise, life has you something coming. Only training the traditional power lifts or upright strength activity will often train you to be a lumbering inflexible, and when life does as you to turn your head of get up and down from the floor quickly, you will probably experience dizziness. It is this portion of the get up (also a half kneeling windmill) where such epic action takes place. There are many challenging parts to a get-up done heavy and done well, and this is one that I often see the visually dependent struggle with. You have to switch from staring at the bell (done from the floor to just before 1/2 kneeling) to sighting the horizon (done once the arm is beside the head), all while effectively shifting your weight through a hip and balancing a weight overhead. I have seen a brain cut the power to a shoulder mid-movement more that once with this (when in doubt, always have a spotter). There are many movements that could train a similar thing, but few hit as many points as a get-up (scalable, strength, unilateral, high mobility, etc). Get this, keep this, don’t ever lose it. Get out of the sagittal plane and start to explore the different ways your body can stabilise, move load and express force. Constant flexion and extension will increase risk of injury and decrease your ability to create force! I’m not saying that just doing 1/2 Turkish Get Ups will get you a 200kg back squat...but it will help you be more resilient, build a foundation to squat/pull/push heavier and help you identify your weaknesses. For those playing contact sports...these rotation/anti rotation movements are a must in your training.

I do love exercise. I love how it makes me feel, the energy I get from it and it keeps me feeling fit and healthy. . I change my routine around so sometimes I run, but I mainly do weights especially #kettlebells which I think are an amazing piece of equipment. Have you tried them? . Some women are always worried they are going to get “muscles” by using weights. Well yes you will but only good lean muscle, you won’t get bulky that takes years of hard work and focus. . Being strong makes us so much healthier and our lives easier as we need to have strength to do a lot of or daily tasks. So if you have never done any weights then I would highly recommend trying out a class especially kettlebells. You #burnfat #getstronger and #healthier.
