Vegan meal💚 Ordered this mini meal with idli,uttapam,medu vada, and lemon rice. The chutney was really good and so was the meal expect the lemon rice i think it was undercooked and the yellow grains i have no idea what is that but it was really not tasting good. I didnt liked the taste of lemon rice. They should really improve the taste of the rice they served. Rest everything was good the service was good and also the staff was friendly. spent the day at the @veganstreetfair in north Hollywood and oh.my.gawdddd did we eatttttt! The event is free to the public and hosts all of SoCal’s finest #vegan food vendors on one long block. Each spot offers a $3-4 sample size dish [plus regular size menu items] so you can try tons of things out and not get full or go broke. Some things we sampled, some things we bought large portions of but man was it amazing. Swipe to see for yourself 👉🏼🤤 this wasn’t even everything we ate y’all! Here we have a #plantbased version of one of my favorite New Mexican dishes ! #carneadovada 🤤 For this recipe all you really need is a couple cans of #jackfruit pieces in Brine, and some local #newmexican #redchile. We are using local red chile powder from @buenofoods, and canned Jack Fruit pieces from our local @traderjoes ! These cans of jackfruit only cost us $1.99 a pop ! Be sure to get your jackfruit pieces in brine, this makes for the best shredded “Meat” substitute. You can make everything from #vegan #pulledchicken to #pulledpork with this stuff ! With the right seasoning and a little touch of tradition, you can make these recipes right at home ! Start by heating a skillet and we will prepare our jackfruit. Add one can of jackfruit With the brine to your skillet, and one can of jackfruit without the brine; 2 Cans of jackfruit pieces, one can of brine. Simmer your jackfruit on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Once you have a nice simmer going, we are ready to incorporate our red Chile powder, or a pre-made purée of your choice. Here we are using about 1/4 cup of Chile. At this point we will begin to shred our jackfruit into the red Chile. Using a couple forks really makes this process a bit easier. For flavor, we seasoned our “Carne” adovada here with 1TBSP #salt, 1TBSP #garlic Powder, 1TBSP #onion Powder, a Pinch of #cumin, and 1TSP Smoked #paprika ! I also like to use a splash of #worchester sauce to flavor any of my plant based “Meats” works really well to create a nice smokey meat flavor that most of us are lookin for in a substitute. Serve with a bowl of beans, or roll in a breakfast burrito just like an authentic New Mexican restaurant. Here we have some plant based Jack Fruit “Carne” Adovada snuggled up in a non cholesterol Flour tortilla, with some fried papas and ..... Non Dairy Cheese for the win! This tastes just like home ! Can you tell I have a sweet tooth yet?😂🍪🦷 ⁣ ⁣ Check out this recipe for these chewy chocolate chip cookies right here hunty. 🍪❤️⁣ ⁣ • 2 1/4 cup flour⁣ • 1 tsp salt⁣ • 1 tsp baking soda⁣ • 2 tsp cornstarch⁣ • 3/4 cup vegan margarine (from a tub, not the sticks)⁣ • 1/4 cup almond milk ⁣ • 1 cup brown sugar⁣ • 1/4 cup regular sugar⁣ • 2 tsp vanilla extract⁣ • 1 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips⁣ ⁣ Preheat oven to 350° and line two cookie sheets with a silicone baking sheet because we’re sustainable queens. 👑 ⁣ ⁣ In a small mixing bowl, whisk the flour, salt, baking soda, and cornstarch. ⁣ ⁣ In a larger mixing bowl, add the margarine, milk, sugars, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer.⁣ ⁣ Add about half of the flour mixture to the wet mixture and use a rubber spatula to combine. Add the rest and mix until combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips. ⁣ ⁣ Using a large ice cream scooper, place the balls of dough on your cookie sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes, until they are baked to your liking. Today’s lunch was 🌱 Alfredo sauce with mushrooms and broccoli over rotini 😋 What a beautiful Saturday ❤️

Alkaline vegan tomato sauce: heat a large saucepan to medium heat. Add 2 and ¼ tablespoons oil of your choice to the pan. Add 2 large chopped shallots and 2 yellow onions to the pan. Season lightly with salt and fry for 4-6 min. Add 12 chopped tomatoes to the pan then add 4 and ½ cups veggie broth. Add 2 and ½ teaspoons onion powder and oregano. Stir lightly then bring to a boil. Once boiling cover with lid and put on low heat. Allow to simmer until the sauce is desired texture then add 3 cups kale. Let the sauce simmer until the kale is cooked then serve. Makes 12 servings. Burritos tempeh con bbq por @lindseyeatsla Receta: tempeh 1 cdta de jengibre 1cdta de ajo 1 cda de soya 2 cdas de aceite 1cdta de azucar morena 1/2 cdtas de Hojuelas de pimienta roja 1cda de gochujang (salsa picante tambien funciona) Spicy mayo Wraps de torilla de burrito Arroz blanco al vapor Hierbas comk cilantro y cebollin Para empezar el burrito calienta el sarten con un poco de aceite de oliva Muele el tempeh con poco fuego por 5-7 min, añade ingredientes del burrito, jengibre picado, ajo, soya, aceite de sesame, azucar morena y hojuelas de pimienta roja Mezcla bien y deja mezclando los ingredientes por 15-20min. SCRAMBLED TOFU 👐 is my go to breakfast. Very healthy, filling and yummy way to start your day. Get your protein 💚 Tofurührei ist eine meiner beliebtesten Frühstücksvarianten. Ein sehr gesunder, sättigender und leckerer Weg in den Tag zu starten. Hol dir dein Protein 💚 •100g Tofu •1 Onion, minced •4 Mushrooms, cut into whatever shape you like •turmeric,salt, Pepper, paprika,garlic powder, maple syrup Sautee the onion on medium heat in a pan. Add the Mushrooms and 1 Tsp maple syrup to caramelize everything. Throw the tofu in the pan and a little bit water, or plantmilk, maybe 50 ml and fry for 2-4 min. Season to your liking. You can also add some veggies like paprika, tomatoes,zucchini or Carrots if you like, almost every veggie will work. Serve with sriracha, ketchup and fresh cilantro. •100g Tofu •1 Zwiebel,geschnitten •4 Champignons, geschnitten in der Form die du magst •kurkuma, Salz, Pfeffer, Paprika, Knoblauchpulver, Ahornsirup Brate die Zwiebeln bei mittlerer Hitze glasig an. Füge die Pilze und 1 Tl Ahornsirup hinzu, um alles zu karamellisieren. Gib den Tofu und etwas Wasser oder Pflanzenmilch hinzu, ca 50 ml und brate alles für 2-4 Minuten. Würze nach Belieben. Du kannst auch andere Gemüsesorten,wie Paprika, Tomaten, Zucchini oder Karotten hinzufügen es klappt eigentlich mit fast jeder Gemüsesorte. Animal Agriculture is responsible for 20%-33% of all fresh water consumption in the world today. - - ▪️We are currently growing enough food to feed 10 billion people. Worldwide, at least 50% of grain is fed to livestock. 82% of starving children live in countries where food is fed to animals, and the animals are eaten by western countries.- - ▪️70 billion farmed animals are reared annually worldwide. Dal is a healthy and “rustic” dish, and one that evokes the feelings of the comforts of home.⁣ ⁣ Toor dal is a great place to start your cooking journey, because it is a relatively forgiving dish if you don’t have a lot of experience.  It’s customizable as well. ⁣ 🍛😋⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Recipe below 👇🏻⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ INGREDIENTS:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ For the dal:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 cup toor dal⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹½ inch ginger, crushed⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 onion, finely chopped⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 to mato, finely chopped⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹2 tsp garlic, crushed⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 tsp turmeric powder⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 tsp red chilli powder⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹cilantro , chopped⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹1 tsp coriander powder⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔹salt to taste⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ For tempering:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸2 tsp oil ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸1 tsp mustard seeds⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸1 tsp cumin seeds⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸3 red chilies, dried⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸pinch of asafoetida⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸½ tsp red chilli powder⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸½ tsp garam masala powder⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🔸few curry leaves⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ INSTRUCTIONS:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ For dal tadka:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 1. Pressure cook 1 cup of toor dal with 4 cups of water for 20 mins.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and saute onions till they turn golden brown.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 3. Add crushed garlic , ginger, chopped tomatoes ,red chilli powder , turmeric and coriander powder and fry without burning the spices.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 4. Now add in cooked daal and mix well ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 5. Add salt to taste.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 6. Adjust the consistency by adding required water.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 7.
