Kvällen bjöd på kebabrulle för min del och kebabpizza för sambon🍕🍟 Jag har gjort kebaben tidigare under dagen och likaså pizzadegen. Tomatsåsen till pizzan kokade jag 40 min innan pizzan skulle in i ugnen. Blev en del över. Funkar perfekt att frysa in eller ha på pasta🍝 Recept och ”tutorial” på kebaben ligger fäst i min bio🌱

The number 1, & the most hated question that a vegan is asked "where do you get your proteins from". I always scoffed at this question...responding "everything has protein in it, especially nuts, bean, lentils etc" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was SHOCKED to find out, I don't eat enough protein. I was barely hitting half of my required daily intake. The solution was to eat more lentils, beans, quinoa etc. BUT to eat enough protein, I would have to consume large amounts & all these foods are high in fat or carbs. So I would also be increasing the amounts of carbs & fats. Even though they are healthy too much of anything isn't. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On top of that I don't eat tofu, tempeh or seitan. They dont sit well in my tummy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What to do? 1. I bought vegan protein powder, something I also used to scoff at. I researched and realized there's a whole industry of vegan powders to solve this exact problem. 2. I started eating seitan. It's has the most protein out of the meat substitutes. I find if I eat max 50g it sits well in my body and I enjoy it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The group has many meat eaters and it's much easier for them to balance their proteins and macros. This highlighted how hard it is as vegan to obtain protein. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is big learning curve and very humbling. The best and most important part, is after 2 days of increasing my protein & balancing my macros, my energy levels skyrocketed. I always believed I was a low energy person and the last 6 months I was a zombie barely getting through my day. My scale broke so all I have to share is photos. I’m on week 6 of the @conscious_muscle #vegan #bodybuilding and #fitness program. At my last weigh-in (May 20) I had lost 20.5 lbs. it all came off in the first three weeks, then nothing for two weeks and now my scale died on the 6th week so I have no idea where I’m at. Not going to lie, this week has been a challenge. I was SO HUNGRY every day last week and the beginning of the week and it discouraged me for exercise tbh. But I know why I was hungry... I was skipping my @cmsupplements protein shakes. I was getting the calories in but my macros were a mess. I only hit 10k steps one day. But I want to repeat this to you and I want you to hear me because this is important. I KNOW why I felt hungry and have the solution. I hit 10k steps one day and walked every day. Focus on what you did RIGHT, not what you did wrong. I know how to fix this and stay on track. I craved sweets all week but didn’t give in! Im about to head out on a hike! - 🍅BLACK BEAN CORN TOMATO SALAD🍅 - 🥦Huuuuge shoutout to my mother for making this. She got the recipe off the food network website but I’ll go over the procedure in brief detail with you: 🔹Sauté the onion and corn (if corn is frozen) in veggie broth (oil optional) 🔹Add the other vegetables and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes 🔹Add dressing at end and let it sit so the flavors combine better - 🥑Quite an easy dish to make, and SO delicious with the lemon lime dressing. It consisted of: 🔹Lemon juice 🔹Lime juice 🔹Maple Syrup 🔹Lemon Zest 🔹Lime Zest 🔹Olive Oil - 👍🏼You can easily find this by searching “black bean corn tomato salad food network” on google. Try this one out! Protein! 💪🏽 So although it seemed a good product, I will be ditching the #draxe protein and collagen as it contains fish and eggs. #sacrifices for #veganbodybuilding. Joe and I had shoulder injuries and used this for support during early #training and rehab. I don’t know how much of a huge difference it made but it did have zero taste, blend really well into shakes and our shoulders are doing well. #vega is one of the only certified #veganprotein brands under 100$ that I find actually tastes good. I’m typically a vanilla #protein girl but today I wanted a #peanutbutter #chocolate shake. Powdered peanut butter cuts out 85% of the fats. In no way do I fear fats, we need them, but I definitely can over indulge in scoops of peanut butter. So this not only saves my gut but my wallet. What’s missing from this image? My #maca #honey and #cinnamon Which I add to almost every shake I make for taste and numerous health benefits. Sometimes I don’t want to situate the blender or don’t have time.
