I’m pretty sure that chickpeas are a potential solution to the worlds energy problems, they are sure doing wonders for me. 😊 1 can of organic chickpeas, 3 Tbl tahini, 2 Tbl pumpkin seeds, 1 Tbl maple syrup, red pepper, red onion, 1/4 tsp mustard, and season to taste. Topped with arugula and avocado. 30g of protein and tons of fiber in this sandwich. Intermittent fasting and half/full marathon training has made eating a little more difficult over the past few weeks, and it’s just gonna get tougher. Overnight oats have been my saving grace. 😋 3/4 c oats, 3/4 c soy milk, 1/2 Tbl of chia, flax, and coconut, dash of maple syrup and peanut butter and top with fruit and nuts. Voilà une recette de tartare d'algues. Il vous faudra: . 50g de mélange d'algues déshydratées . 1 demi oignon . 1 gousse d'ail . 5 cornichons . 1 cuil. à soupe de vignaigre de cidre . 1 demi jus de citron . 3 cuil. à soupe d'huile d'olive . Poivre Hacher finement la gousse d'ail, l'oignon et les cornichons , placer dans un saladier les algues, ajouter le vinaigre, le jus de citron et l'huile d'olive pour les réhydrater si elles sont encore un peu sèche ajouter y un petit peu d'eau. Ajouter les restes des ingrédients en mélangeant bien. Voilà votre tartare est prêt, vous pouvez le manger dans des feuilles de salade fraîche, des galettes de sarrasin ou comme ici tartiné sur des toasts. De préparer son tartare d'algues sois même est très économique. Les algues sont une excellente source de protéines et c'est l'une des rares protéines à être alcanisante, elles possèdent tout les acides aminés essentiels pour notre organisme. @vegan_veganfood ・・・ SUN DRIED TOMATO CREAMED MUSHROOMS! You guys asked for it... here it is. SO Easy and delish. Tag your mushroom lovin’ friends and grab recipe below!!!! By @alexafuelednaturally RECIPE Ingredients: 1/2 cup raw cashews 2 cups filtered water 16 ounces cremini mushrooms 1 tbsp avocado oil 1 tbsp vegan butter 2 tbsp nutritional yeast 2 tbsp tomato paste 5-7 sundried tomatoes, sliced (I used sundried tomatoes in oil) 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Pepper To serve: Brown or white rice Cilantro or fresh herbs Directions: 1. To a large pan over medium heat add 1 tbsp avocado oil or oil of choice. Add mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes, season with salt and pepper.... then add 1 tbsp vegan butter and sauté for an additional 5 minutes. 2. In a blender combine raw cashews (no you don’t have to soak cashews ) and filtered water. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Takes 1-2 minutes. 3. Pour the cashew milk over mushrooms, then add nutritional yeast, garlic powder, tomato paste, chopped sun dried tomatoes, stir to combine and lower heat & let simmer until the sauce slightly thickens. Simmer for 3 minutes, taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Adding salt and pepper to your liking. 4. Ich wünsche euch einen schönen Feiertag und, dem ein oder anderen auch gleich ein schönes verlängertes Wochenende. • Ich bin gestern Abend vor Netflix eingepennt, war kurz wach und hab danach weitergeschlafen wie ein Stein. Nichtmal das oder die Gewitter hab ich heute Nacht mitbekommen 😂 Am Vormittag hab ich die Muse zum Aufräumen und Wäsche waschen genutzt und nun widme ich mich auch endlich mal (wieder 🙄) dem Projektbericht. 🙈 Ich hoffe ab nächster Woche ist der mal Geschichte! Aber hey, wir sind sehr engagiert und es wird sich in unserer Note widerspiegeln, laut der Professorin. Na, das will ich doch auch mal hoffen. 😅 Wenn da keine 1 vor dem Komma steht, ist Hopfen und Malz verloren. 🙈 Deswegen gab’s heute Mittag ganz fix Spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncini mit Oliventofu. 🤤 • Dafür braucht ihr (2 Portionen): 180 Gramm Spaghetti oder in meinem Fall Linguine 2 Knoblauchzehen 4 Scheiben Zitrone 1/2 Bund Petersilie 1 Chili 8 EL Olivenöl • 1. Die Nudeln nach Packungsanweisung in Salzwasser garen. 2. Währenddessen die Knoblauchzehen schälen und in Scheiben schneiden. Petersilie waschen und klein schneiden. Chili ebenfalls klein schneiden. Zitrone waschen und 4 Scheiben abschneiden. 3. Das Olivenöl in einer Pfanne erhitzen. Knoblauch, Petersilie und Chili kurz darin bräunen. Zitronenscheiben hinzugeben. 4. Die abgegossenen Nudeln hinzugeben und schwenken. Mit Salz und Pfeffer würzen. Zitronenscheiben entfernen und genießen. 🤤

RECIPE FOR 8 OAT COOKIES Cals 101 Carbs:10g Fat:2g Protein:10g . 🥣120g rolled oats 🥣3 scoops of protein (using #veganprotein) 🥣70ml unsweetened almond milk 🥣1/2tsp coconut oil 🥣8 berries . 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees . 2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl - except coconut oil. Add enough water to make a thick cookie base. . 3. Let it settle in the fridge for 10mins. . 4. Grease the baking tray with the coconut oil. . 5. Form 8 equal size cookie balls and place then on your tray. Make them flat a bit and add a berry on top of each cookies. . 6. Stuffed potato cakes by @elavegan 🧡 . Ingredients Dough: 1 kg potatoes (*see recipe notes) 80 g white rice flour (1/2 cup) (*see recipe notes) 40 g cornstarch or tapioca flour (1/3 cup) salt, pepper, nutmeg (to taste) Filling: 250 g mushrooms, sliced (about 3 cups) 1/2 of a zucchini, diced 1 onion, chopped 1 bell pepper, diced 2 cloves of garlic, minced salt & pepper to taste spice mix: 1 tsp Italian spice blend, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 red pepper flakes Additional ingredients: oil for frying vegan cheese to taste (optional) Instructions Dough: Peel potatoes, cut into small pieces and cook in salted water for about 20 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg and mash them with a potato masher. (Please do not use a food processor, otherwise, the mashed potatoes will be sticky). Allow the mashed potatoes to cool (in the meantime you can prepare the filling), then add flour and cornstarch and mix well with a spoon or your hands. Filling: Chop the veggies, fry the onion in a pan with a little bit oil for about 3-4 minutes, add the mushrooms, garlic, and also the diced peppers and the zucchini. Sauté everything for a couple of minutes, season with salt, pepper, and the spice mix. Split the dough into 8 parts (about 1/2 cup or 120 g each). Form into balls, make a well in the middle and add about one and a half tablespoons of the filling. You can also add some vegan cheese in addition. Carefully "seal" the balls with a little bit more dough and flatten them slightly to make them look like thick pancakes. Heat approximately 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the potato cakes at medium heat until golden brown on both sides. They will be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you want them to be slightly more crunchy, you can bake them additionally for about 20 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven. Enjoy! Ingredients . 1 teaspoon cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil 1 brown onion, peeled and diced 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 100 grams grape tomatoes, chopped 400 grams cooked cannellini beans, washed and drained 4 cup mushrooms, sliced 1/2 red capsicum, diced 1 bunch broccolini, stems removed 6 olives, pitted and halved 2 tablespoons of sun dried tomatoes, chopped 2 spring onion leaves, chopped A handful of fresh basil leaves, chopped 1 teaspoon of parsley, chopped A dash of salt A few dashes of pepper A few dashes of cayenne pepper Approximately 1 1/2 cups leftover 1-3 day old cooked rice . Method . Heat oil and cook onions and garlic until onion is translucent. Add grape tomatoes and cook until soft. Add beans and cook for a minute. Add the rest of the vegetables, herbs, and spices. Cook until broccolini turns a dark green and mushrooms darken. Add the rice and mix well. Serve. . This was another cooking experiment that went right. . Good vibes to you ☮️. . Yesterday, it was heard on the radio that vegans have to eat so much spinach to get the right amount of iron. Firstly, spinach is not the only source of iron. Secondly, tofu, beans, grains, and seeds combined with fruits and vegetables give you enough of iron. Broccoli, other leafy greens, and tomato sauce also contains iron. Spinach is not the only vegetable that has iron on this planet. . It was also asserted by the radio host that vegans have to take supplements all the time. I do not find this to be a true statement. In fact, when I was eating meat, I was taking supplements every day for energy. My body felt slow and sluggish. A plant-based diet has helped my body so much, and I do not take supplements for energy anymore. I am so “full of beans” every day. My skin glows and I’m now a stable weight. I sleep well, have never felt better, and rarely get sick. When I first transitioned to a plant-based diet, I experienced a couple of detox symptoms for about 3-4 days after being a vegetarian (detox symptoms may last longer for an omnivore on an unhealthy diet), but after that I did not get a cold or flu for 2 years! I would not recommend a plant-based diet if it was not healthy, as it has only benefits for the body. It also has the added bonus of being cruelty-free and better for the environment 😊. . Finally, the radio host was agreeing with a listener who was declaring that he had wished he took his ex-girlfriend, who happened to be vegan, to a steakhouse. This is a form of discrimination against vegan people (and, more importantly, animals who cannot speak for themselves too). One may then make the counter argument that vegan people discriminate against meat eaters. However, if you saw an innocent person from a cultural minority group being bullied because of his or her race, would you not stand up for him or her? Would you accuse a person, who is standing up for the one being bullied, of discrimination against the racist? Similarly, vegans are standing up for powerless animals. B) 1 teaspoon coconut oil 2 bay leaves 1 brown onion, peeled and diced 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 250 grams mixed grape and cherry tomatoes 2 tablespoons curry powder 1 teaspoon turmeric 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon garam masala 1 bunch of broccolini, stems removed 8 green beans, sliced 1/2 cup frozen peas 400 grams cooked lentils, washed and drained 1 cup vegetable broth A splash of plant-based milk 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast Spring onion, chopped for garnishing . . Method . Mix A) together and transfer to oven for 35 minutes @ 200 C . For B), heat oil and cook bay leaves for a minute. Add onions, garlic, and tomatoes and cook until onion is translucent. Remove bay leaves, add spices and stir well. Then add remaining B) ingredients (except spring onion). Add roast vegetables A) when ready and stir well.
