This is why I am such a fan of @PerfectSupplements (and have been since they first started). They heard about our dog attack and Dan (one of the owners) offered to send me a bottle of the Acai Revive for stress and emotional support. They also included a box of the collagen packets as a secret surprise and this very sweet letter. Collagen played a HUGE role in how quickly our dog healed. We fully expected her injuries to take 6-8 weeks to heal fully. Thanks to her added supplements, she ended up taking only 4 weeks to heal up. Our vet said she has no doubt that the collagen powder sped up the healing process immensely. And, as a side benefit, her coat is UH-MAZING. So silky smooth and soft. For You, I've added some benefits and a yummy latte recipe following ☺️🍶 ✧Fighting inflammation ✧As an antioxidant Protects the heart in various ways ✧Helpful for arthritis ✧Brain boosting ✧May be helpful for fighting diabetes and cancer . . •Tumeric latte for all the feelings of cosy• ☆2 cups of oat milk or unsweetened almond milk ☆1 teaspoon of turmeric ☆1 teaspoon of raw honey (or coconut syrup if vegan. My preference is stevia). 1 cinnamon stick or ½ ☆teaspoon of ground cinnamon ☆3 cardamon pods ☆a small pinch of ground or fresh ginger a small pinch of pepper ✩↣ Lightly boil the milk, add ingredients, cont. to heat on low without boiling.. strain, enjoy! ❥

In a world where you can be anything... be kind !!! . . What a quote 🙏 . . A few weeks ago when I was at the dōTERRA European Convention, I was standing in queu to get a cup of coffee... Those that were with me know what’s coming... . . So as I am stood there (mad busy #costacoffee, cos let’s face it 5000 people are trying to get a coffee all at the same time) So as I am waiting to be served there is a hole that is created in front of me and the server shouts “next”... He shouts it again, and as no one in front is doing anything I step forward and tell him what I would like to order... . . All of a sudden OUT OF NOWHERE this lady steps forward, gives me the meanest look EVER... like for real I have never had anyone give me a look like that and she says “No, it was me”. . . With much shock I pause for a moment and decide I have to actually make her realize how mean and TOTALLY out of order she was for treating me like that... So I politely tell her I never did this on purpose and I only stepped forward as no one else had. She looks a bit shocked, gives me another mean look and then pauses for a moment... She then looks back and then apologizes for her reaction. . . People react in a negative way much to soon ! We live in a society where we think people do things nastily on purpose when often times we should take a second and think of what their true intention was. . . I never meant to skip the line and I got treated in a very unreasonable way.. this lady made me feel so bad for that brief moment until I took back that feeling and confronted her with an unnecessary reaction on her part... . . So my post today... I would like to ask you all to always be kind to others... don’t think people intentionally do you wrong... don’t judge too fast... 🌿🍕♥️🙌 Supreme Sweet Potato Pizza with a Miso Sesame Cream Sauce And Spiced Smokey Tofu! - By FAR one of my favorite pizza experiments! At first taste of the uncooked crust, I was hesitant. The uncooked sweet potato flavor was SO strong, it made it really hard to know how this was going to turn out after the bake 🤨. But it did! It has an incredible flavor that's not too strong, but could easily be devoured all by it's lonesome! Which was perfect as the sauce I made was a great pairing! Smooth, mellow and somewhat sweet, it's umami dominate low note really supported the crust's zip! Added to the tofu's smokey spice, this was a party in your mouth! And then theere we're the veggies. I Never get tired of fresh cut and baked veggies. Just what was needed! - I'll have the full recipe up on my website soon, but at the moment, I would really enjoy hearing any thoughts for my next pizza adventure! Also, I see LOTS of potential for this crust recipe to be used in a variety of ways: crackers, toasts, flat breads and more! Could not believe my eyes when I went to @Montavillafarmersmarket this morning and saw…wait for it…early season apricots! What the heck?! Ever the cynic, I thought “It is too early. Bet they will be like rocks..” But no, these velvet skinned bits of sunshine were juicy and perfect…. 🙏🏻🧡✨ They were grown in Maryhill, a small town that sits right by the Columbia River. An interesting phenomenon occurs along the Columbia just outside of Portland. The terrain goes from rainforest to high desert within a 60-mile stretch! So, a farm that is just 30 miles from Portland can be several weeks ahead of us in its growing season. Sweet! 🌸 Apricots, or Prunus armeniaca, are drupes. (Ha ha ha..drupe, right?) That means they are in the family of fruits with thin skin, lots of flesh, and a big pit in the middle. They are high in soluble fiber (to lower blood cholesterol) and insoluble fiber (to feed healthy gut microbes). They are also rich in calcium, phosphorous, manganese, iron, and copper, vitamins C and A, plus a plethora of antioxidants — catechines (anti-inflammatory), lutein (good for eyesight), flavonoids and polyophenols (protect against heart disease) to name just a few. 🍑 I do not expect my 5 little apricots to last till supper. if they do, when my son fires up the grill, I will do the following: Grilled Stone Fruit (or drupes— ha ha!) -4 apricots -1.5 tsp olive or avocado oil -1 tsp freshly grated ginger -Dash of sea salt -Dash of cinnamon --1/4 maple syrup or raw local honey -vanilla ice cream. 💜Cut fruit in half, and remove pits. Mix oil, ginger, cinnamon, and sea salt and in a bowl. Add the fruit to the bowl and toss gently with your hands till fruit is coated. Place fruit face down on grill for about 2 minutes. Fruit will soften, and cut side will be charred. Turn over and grill for another minute till skin is slightly charred too. Place apricots on plates. Love yourself some Starbucks but want to keep a little more $$ in your pocket? Did ya know you can make almost all of their specialty drinks at home? And the cool thing is that you can control the ingredients so if you're sensitive to something (like dairy) you can swap it out for something you can tolerate (like coconut milk). The best things in life are cruelty free!🙃🌿 Seriously how amazing is this lifestyle - if anyone would have told me only 4,5 years ago that fast forward 2 years later I would start connecting with the most inspiring human beans, travel to all different kinds of cities, go restaurant hopping to try out all the plant goodness and promote what aligns with my values online, I would have shaken my head and tell this person that I love chicken (I actually did like the taste of it) and this would simply not happen. Just a couple of months later, I watched ‚Earthlings‘ on YouTube, cried my eyes out and decided to go vegan the very next morning after waking up. Well, that escalated quickly 🤷🏽‍♀️ And I couldn’t be more grateful that it did. I have always been more of a black or white person but it doesn’t have to be this way. Change doesn’t need to happen over night. Everyone got their own speed of figuring things out, educating themselves, learning and trying out what works best for them. I have learned that I never felt this vibrant, happy, confident, healthy and at peace for my whole entire life. Veganism adds to my life in countless ways and I will forever be grateful that I made this conscious choice of changing my lifestyle. Best thing ever 🖖🏽🌱 What one thing changed your life for the better? _ This weekend has been insanely busy but I feel so much more balanced than I did a couple of days ago - mindset truly is key and makes up your whole entire reality.
