Today I began taking vitamin B complex, vitamin E, and folic acid for my hair. The b complex should contain vitamins b6, b12, and biotin. B-class vitamins are great on their own, but they are a true powerhouse when grouped together. The b vitamins reduce hair loss, slow the fraying process, promote rapid hair growth, and shine. Vitamin E is an essential vitamin for hair bc it helps with blood circulation and leads to a healthier scalp. It softens and nourishes curls to lessen frizz and it also decreases split ends. Folic avid is found in vitamin B complex. It also prevents grays, thicken hair (so I can one day have my lion's mane I hope to have), increases shine, and adds moisture to hair to lessen breakage. Cobalamin or Cyanocobalamun, also known as Vitamin B12, is a water soluble hematopoietic vitamin required for the formation & maturation of erythrocytes (red blood cells), & for the synthesis of myelin (myelinogenesis), vital for the normal functioning of the brain & nervous system. Most importantly, B12 is involved in the metabolism of every cell of human body. Specifically, B12 is a Cobalamin coenzyme that mediates Alkylation reactions. Coenzymes are small organic molecules tightly associated with enzymes that participate & are required for catalytic activities of enzymes. Specifically, coenzymes are required in reactions that the enzymes catalyze, often by forming covalent bond to substrates. Enzymes are proteins that catalyze specific chemical reactions vital to human functioning. Vitamin B12 is synthesized neither by plants nor animals but only by a few species of bacteria. All vitamin B12 is the product of microbial synthesis. Because it can't be synthesized by the body, it needs to be supplied in small quantities in our diets or supplemented. Deficiencies of vitamin B12 in humans is associated with megaloblastic anemia and neuropathy. Therefore, given the vital role Vitamin B12 plays in human functioning, I ensure to take it daily in tablet form, to take the mental stress out of worrying about getting enough in my diet. Vegan Parmesan. For a number of reasons, we’ve been trying dairy-free cheese this week and have come to the conclusion that it is so disgusting, that it must surely be some kind of conspiracy by the dairy industry?! Or, at best, a really unfunny practical joke.🤢 However, it turns out that making your own vegan Parmesan is actually really easy AND tastes amazing! I followed a recipe from @minimalistbaker. We’re new to nutritional yeast and have heard it’s an acquired taste but were instant converts. Not all vitamin brands are created equal. One of my patients was shocked to hear this this week. I asked...”but is the Melatonin you are on high quality ?”...I’ve spent many years finding the best ones...through trying them myself. If you’re going to spend money , don’t you want it to be on “what” you think you’re buying? In addition to asking questions, doing a little research, and using common sense, I will take this to my LAc/MD, and have her muscle test it for how powerful it is...I always love bioavailable vitamins. This one is packed with B-12. I usually use a B-12 lipsomal spray from Physica Energetics and I feel it works quite well. This one is packed with much more than B-12 though, Vit-A, folate, and dozens more. Saw this and wanted to try. When it comes from an animal I feel it’s closer to the source. I started feeling my right leg and arm tingly after my morning workout then I got scared thinking it was a brain tumor because I was having severe headaches I went to go get a MRI of the brain and my MRI of the brain came back good so I was happy but I was still saying why am I feeling like this I find out both my sister and I were low in Vitamin B Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to a reduction in healthy red blood cells (anemia). The nervous system also may be affected. Diet or certain medical conditions may be the cause. Symptoms are rare but can include fatigue, breathlessness, numbness, poor balance, and memory trouble.
