10 weeks out of @wbff_official Worlds at @lasvegas @bellagio .... It has been a great ride since The LA International Championship. Woke up this morning at 204lbs with for the first time at this weight noticing some great glutes striations. Unfortunately I can’t show these here 😅 .... All kidding aside, Reverse Dieting has been going really well. Calories are on average 4400 calories with a macros breakdown of 270 Protein-720 carbs-50 Fat. This is an increase of close to a thousand calories from LA . On the cardio side, calories expenditure was for the majority brought down to 350 calories daily mainly focussing on half/half steady state and interval work. The last 3 weeks there has been a ramp up of 50 calories a week up to this week at 500 calories coming from longer duration on intervals. LA Prep Calorie expenditure towards the end was close to 950, so a lot of room is present to drive progression . As for Resistance Training two days a week are dedicated to legs, 2 days for Chest and Arms, 2 days for Back and Neck musculature. Mixing lower rep range sets and higher range sets, the changes so far have been really promising to bring an upgraded version of my physique for The World Stage! . This next training phase will be slightly reduced in volume allowing for strength gains and better recovery. The increase in % intensity of work will give my body a chance to use this « new acquired strength » into the next volume phase that will follow this one. More strength into more reps leads to better damage which equals better growth via a stronger signal of recovery sent to the body .... Calorie deficit will also get into gear so the goal is to be ready 2 to 3 weeks out Conditioning wise to then reverse diet into my show, meaning that I will decrease calorie deficit and slowly surely “filled” muscle tissue back up .... #natural #bodybuilding #wbff #wbffpro #fitness #contestprep #back #abs

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." - When it comes to training and nutrition protocols I am of the firm belief that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. If something is working adequately well, why change things? Often the temptation to see rapid results ‘ahead of schedule’ prompts individuals to aggressively cut calories or ramp up the cardio. The gratification from seeing the scales drop dramatically is quite enticing but this can prove problematic when you diet yourself into the ground and rebound badly. - Accordingly, to achieve sustainable results I recommend taking a more methodical approach whereby you only reduce calories or increase cardio when and if required… not just for the sake of it. - When evaluating whether it is appropriate to make an adjustment to your plan you need to critically analyse your results (measurements, bodyweight, etc.) and assess your performance in the gym and COMPLIANCE to the plan. You need to ask yourself the following questions; "Am I losing weight at the desired rate of weight loss per week?" and "Have I been following the plan as prescribed?” - If you find that you are "on schedule" and losing weight at a sustainable rate then there is no reason to change anything. However, if your results have plateaued yet your dietary compliance has been sub-par and you have been sporadic with your attendance at the gym (missing sessions, etc.) the effectiveness of the plan is difficult to evaluate because you haven’t actually been following it properly. - Rather than make any adjustment your number one priority should be to tighten up your adherence to the current plan. - However, if your compliance has been near perfect and your weight loss is slower than the desired rate of weight loss each week (i.e. less than 0.5kg per week) then perhaps an adjustment might be necessary. Rather than blindly cutting calories to grind out a result, take a more methodical approach and you’ll be able to make informed decisions and achieve more sustainable results. - 🖥www.robbieframefitness.com 📧robbie@robbieframefitness.com

I performed 3 sets of 5-6 reps off the seated calf machine and it worked quite well. You can also do them from lat pull down machine and Smith machines.
