As many rounds as possible in 20 mins of: 8s L-sit hold 20 Double unders 8 single arm dumbbell clean and jerk 50/35 lb-DB's 20 Double unders *Attempt a double under every 20 reps We have an amrap chipper, nice and long with some varied movements for athletes to have fun with. As far as pacing goes, we want athletes just thinking about moving at a pace where they can keep the heart rate low enough to sustain that difficult isometric hold in the L-sit. Staying relaxed on the rope and breathing through each rep on the dumbbell. L-sit hold- These are done no more than 4" off the floor, we can use 45lb plates, Dumbbells, Rings. If the floor is in the way they will need to scale to a tuck. This movement is all about pelvic turn over, not just lifting up the legs. L-hang = hang from the pull-up rig. Single arm DB C&J: These are done 15+15 style to get to 30 total reps, not alternating. Here are a couple scaling options for this workout! 🔥 DO YOU FEEL CONFIDENT IN THE GYM? 🔥⠀ -⠀ One thing that holds a lot of people back from going to the gym is the fear of feeling awkward. 😫⠀ -⠀ This is also what stopped me at first from going to the gym, but now years later I am so happy I did it. I never felt one second uncomfortable in the gym. And it is safe to say that I feel confident as hell since I started lifting. 💪🏼 ⠀ -⠀ First time gym fear is a real thing and not something you should be afraid of. The biggest thing that helped me, was to keep in mind that no one goes to the gym to judge others, they are there for themselves. 🏋🏼⠀ -⠀ You can also take a friend the first time you go, this can make it a lot easier to join! 😃⠀ -⠀ Next to that it is important to find a gym that fits you. I had the luck that I joined a gym where the trainers and staff are super nice, which really helps. Things are improving, this makes me happy. Managed to transfer what I learned using the block snatches on Wednesday to get a smooth pull from the floor. The change in tempo has made a huge difference. Cleans felt easy although a little inconsistent especially on the 3x2 c+j I did after the singles. Jerk is finally getting a little better. Still tend to send my back foot too far behind and often put the bat slightly in front. Great weekend at @rwlweightlifting this last weekend. Our @charlesriversf athletes all gave it there best and performed well. Our weightlifting team has grown tremendously and we encourage more of you guys to come compete with us and support! .
