Something I never cut myself slack for.⠀ ⠀ It’s a massive topic I like to talk about with anyone I coach because YOU don’t have to be hard on yourself if your moving forward.⠀ ⠀ It’s a valid point when it comes to anyones journey but especially when it comes to women I think it’s a topic that should be talked about a WHOLE load more.⠀ ⠀ We get shown media ALL the time saying do this it’s easy to loose weight. Is it? The science behind it I agree is easy move more, eat better and a calorie deficit. ⠀ ⠀ However does this take into account menstrual cycles, personal lives and one I feel is SO important EMOTION.⠀ ⠀ Now if any of you are like me I am INCREDIBLY emotional ask anyone who knows me. Trying to handle these emotions when trying to loose weight sometimes makes it feel like it’s impossible.⠀ ⠀ For every wrong choice you make food wise or session you didn’t do. What would happen if you flipped that mindset and didn’t beat yourself up and thought about ALL the better ones you have made? It wouldn’t feel so bad right? So you had a slice of cake 🍰 you won’t go backwards unless you have a lot of slices of cake all the time!⠀ ⠀ Don’t knock the work you have put in so far. Changing things up a bit this week and started a zero carb week. 5g total net carb per day. So far so good 👍🏼 I thought it was going to be harder than it was today, so I’m hopeful that I can do the full week so far. Let’s see how tomorrow goes! My pre op appointment went well. Because I’ve had a previous stomach surgery (NOT bariatric, I had a small mass removed from my stomach a few years ago) and the staple line from the first surgery goes across where my surgeon needs to cut for my VSG, she pushed my surgery back a day so she had more time, since she thinks mine will take a little longer than the standard VSG. She also rarely does drains, however, mine is one where I may need a drain. I am a VERY hard IV stick. Nearly all previous surgeries it took several attempts and the anesthesiologist had to do it. So, they may do a midline IV catheter on me for this surgery too. I didn’t have a personal training session tonight, but somehow found myself at the gym anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️ Josh saw me and was kind enough to put me to work 😆 So he had me do 30 calories on the tower, then 30 push ups, then 25 calories, 25 push ups, 20/15/10/5... it was a good workout! I still had some energy after that, so I broke out my hula hoop and played around a bit. man, I never realized the strength that chronic pain sufferers truly have. For the past two months I’ve had to deal with (almost daily) abdominal pain, nausea and intense fatigue. Some days are better than others but I’ve definitely broken down a few days from the stress of maintaining my two jobs and dealing with it. My doctor is still attempting to figure it out and I’m getting more testing done. Super frustrating situation, but I’m just hoping it’s nothing serious. I’m trying to be more open and honest on this page while sharing my journey, and this is a part of it.

Day 1 of gluten free and dairy free ✔️ Following a 5 day PCOS meal plan that I found and so far it's going good. Lots of food! Didn't end up having one of my snacks because I just wasn't hungry. - Posting my transformation because I need encouragement myself right now.. I feel like we all fall off track and that is a ok. But, I remember the most important thing I lived by when I first started my health journey and that is consistency. Yes it’s important to rest, but you have to have action more than rest. You cannot expect to see results from two workouts a week. You cannot expect to see results when you’re doing a whole cheat day instead of cheat meal. You need to stay consistent in your diet and your health, mentally and physically. I haven’t been working out enough lately, and I realized that it’s effecting my self love.. I’m not respecting my body. I’m not taking care of the home God have me..I’m not pushing myself past my limits. I need this pain and struggle in the gym for growth. So today I advise you to love yourself so much that you need and long to take care of your body and mind. And I advise you to practice consistency with me. 🙏🏼 we got this y’all!! BENCH || WEIGHTED DIPS || MEMENTO MORI • • Push day today. Really didn’t feel like training this afternoon. But, “the cow never stays milked”, and goals>current feelings. Sometimes brute force is the way. • • Went 405x3x6, then weighted dips BW + 190lbs (two 45s + 100 plate) for 3 sets of 6. Some shoulders and back to the bench for 3x8 at 365. Ended with more shoulders and triceps. They might not all be homeruns, but they all count for something. You do what you can, and take what’s there. • • So every year before my birthday, I get very reflective. This year is no different. I have had one of the best years of my life so far, and I know the best is yet to come. I have some very big things in mind for myself and am as excited as I’ve ever been. Here is something that has been on my mind for the last year: • • The Grim Reaper came to take a man home. The man begged and pleaded. Said he had more to do, to say, and that he wasn’t done. He begged for another week. Just one more to make peace, get his house in order, do all the things that are in his heart and on his mind. Mainly he wanted to tell his people he loved them. The Reaper replied, “You want another week? What did you do with the one you just had? What about the 52 before that? I gave you all the ‘extra’ time you needed. You chose not to use it. It’s time now”. • • We wouldn’t throw money away. It has too much value. Yet we’ll waste time without second guessing, assuming more will always be coming. We may have a lot left, we may not. We just can’t know. But what is known, many times over, is that when our time is up and our number called, we’ll wish with every fiber of our being, that we had more. The biggest mistake we can make is to bank on the idea that there will always be more time to live the life we desire. • • If you use your time to it’s max, you’ll have plenty of it. If you waste it, you’ll never have enough. Let this be all the motivation you ever need. When asked what you did with yesterday, do you really want the answer to be “nothing”?
