If you are squatting with knees in line or even coming towards the midline you are going to be placing a lot of force on your knee joints, and less on the glutes, and nobody wants that. . Itโ€™s good to warm up with bands to get the glute meds activated and warm. Even squatting with a band around the knees slightly above is a great cue to drive the knees out. . The position is also more beneficial to achieve range of motion to develop the lower body the way you want!๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ . Well, for me personally thatโ€™s working out the evening. I love to enter the gym knowing Iโ€™ve already done lots of work during the day and that itโ€™s now time to let everything for what it is when Iโ€™m in there. On top of that, I feel like I perform better in the evening since by then I already have multiple meals in my system. For me personally, it does make a difference in terms of performance when compared to working out in the morning. Another thing I noticed and is an advantage of working out in the evening, that seems way easier to warm your body up. Makes sense, since our body temperature increases over the course of the day. --------------------- But does all of this mean that working out in the evening is the best option? Nop, this is just what I PERSONALLY PREFER. Here is the thing: Thereโ€™s no certain time that is best for you to work out because both timings have their own advantages. . Some people absolutely love morning workouts and I can definitely understand why. The gym is less crowded, your workout is already out of the way so you donโ€™t risk missing it anymore and of course, nothing wakes you up more than a morning sweat sesh ๐Ÿ˜ ------------------- โ–ถ๏ธINTERMITTENT FASTING? . However, thereโ€™s one group for who there is a best time to work out and thatโ€™s for the people practising intermittent fasting. If this is the eating strategy you follow, I highly recommend you to work out in the morning. It is much easier to roll out of bed in the morning to get your workout done while in a fasted state vs lifting at night. Working out in the evening would in this case definitely negatively impact your performance and thus results. . Working out in the morning or in the evening: the choice is up to you! Caption this photo: The Monday Struggle๐Ÿ˜‚ โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € We got back home at 4am this morning after traveling for the past week so Iโ€™m exhausted but excited as ever to get back on my normal routine/schedule!๐Ÿ“† โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Whenever I get home from a long vacation/trip/traveling for work, there are a few things I do to get back on track, so I thought Iโ€™d share them with you!๐Ÿ’ก โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € 1. WAAAATTTERRRRRR ๐Ÿ’ฆ (in Spongebobโ€™s voice hahaha๐Ÿคฃ). I try to drink .5-1 gallon of water because I am usually always dehydrated from flying and just not getting in my normal intake! 2. Fruits & Veggies. ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฅฆ Usually when Iโ€™m gone I donโ€™t get as many servings of fruits and veggies as I normally do, so I like to eat fresh fruit and BIGGG salads! I also make sure to take my 2 scoops of Opti-Greens each day! 3. Cardio. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I like to SWEAT after eating tons of yummy foods that my body isnโ€™t used to, so Iโ€™ll try to go on a few runs, do the peloton, or even do a bootcamp class at F45 4. Ease back into heavy lifting. ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ Since I havenโ€™t done a heavy/bodybuilder type workout in a while, Iโ€™m going to take it easy and ease back into it. Instead of going BALLS TO THE WALL and trying to PR on deadlifts lol. 5. Extra zzzโ€™s. ๐Ÿ˜ด 9/10 when Iโ€™m gone I sleep about 2 hours less each night than I normally do, and that takes a HUGE toll on my body. So Iโ€™ll usually tend to push my workouts back a bit, instead of getting up at 4am to train, Iโ€™ll wait until like 6am. I also will sometimes train in the afternoon just so I can sleep in! 6. No/less make-up. ๐Ÿง–๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ Obviously this canโ€™t always be avoided if you have places to be and people to see lol. But I sometimes tend to breakout while on vacation from eating foods Iโ€™m not used to and just germs. So I try to wear little to no makeup to let my skin have a break! โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Other than those few things I just make sure to keep my stress low and get back to a routine! Ever done a #wordoftheyear? Not a resolution, but a meditation. For an entire year. Something to focus on and let guide you forward. I've done this for 10 years now, and while I wouldn't say it gets harder, it certainly doesn't get easier. I've found that when you make a concerted effort to improve yourself, it can seem like the whole world conspires against you to thwart your well-intentioned plan. Here are my words for the previous 10 years: #grace #acceptance #balance #deliberate #discernment #abundance #fearless #contentment #rest #worth And here's the beautiful part: each time, the word I've chosen transforms into something else entirely. Abundance shifted to #enough. Contentment morphed into #gratitude. This year I chose #empower as my 11th word of the year. I still don't know what that will lead to, but the process is so much more rewarding than reaching the destination. And just because it's almost April doesn't mean it's too late! What will you choose?
