SOUL OF MUMBAI 🌇 4 ⠀ Mumbai follow set of codes to make their life moving. Some simple codes are Wake up before sun rise for a private loo, being not too loud or troublesome, fetch fresh water from public tap at right time, try to safe food from rats, make bed when village is ready to sleep, perfect time for turn partner and lot more. A perfect example of human adaptation with circumstances. ⠀ They don’t have much knowledge of fresh water and food, they share their meals with rats and dogs, it’s pretty normal. We feel that they are cursed by god. But it’s kind of Bless that they don’t have other stupid mental problems to care about on this limited space of survivals (maybe they have, who knows). They don’t care about what’s happening on streets or fancy stuffs around, not big noises, no protest or unpleasantness of our noise, lights and blocking street. I was curious about this and I ask about this to the local manager. He said he fills their mouth with money. It didn’t sound a genuine answer for me. Money can’t buy some values. ⠀ Streets are always happy. People sit and talk, what else we need for a good world. I see husband and wife sleep on the roof & her daughter on sidewalks. Might be because of humidity. Half of the village don’t sleep at night. Fish from sea comes by midnight, they clean and send to market by early morning. All these are happening at early mornings, big pile of fish fill the streets and after segregation it will go to market before 4 in morning. Then they wash the street. Morning smells fishy sometimes. After a 14 hrs of physical works on sea and streets do they have proper place to clean up ? A place to sleep. Say Hello to Lay man life. ⠀ If you put a European who sue Starbucks for hot cups inside this building maze chances are he will have a mental shock or he evolve someone like Buddha. I live in decent 4 bhk houses on the prime spot of city. Every day my mom complain about that small kitchen space and alterations have to done to make it more beautiful. SOUL OF MUMBAI 🌇-3 ⠀ Human live like ants here. In every sense. Unity, teamwork, living in hole. Just imagine a Bus, take the half space of this bus. Now think about mom, dad, children living inside & grandma sleep outside, it includes cook and wash. It’s life in Mumbai village. Rich people have fan, millionaires have bathroom. You do eat, sleep, study, play, save things and live inside this small sharing place. You can’t even fart without knowing your parents or siblings.it's not place where you sit and get, it’s a place where you fight & survive. ⠀ Gullies are narrow path where a human can manage to walk, some are big enough for a bike. You can see doors on every 3 steps. Forget about privacy. It’s a transparent life. You can’t hide anything like our polished society. College girls, married women walk to toilet in front of public in morning and evening time. Guys stay with nature, they poo on the rocks facing the Sea. Sea breeze stinks at that time for an outsider. Now am no more an outsider here. Mother Nature don’t curse I walk almost all corners of these gullies, slept on street bench, ate inside a home. Look at their face,we can’t predict what kind of emotions they have, but I didn’t see any anger, disappointment or depression. If you tell women’s here about feminism, they will think that’s its kind of school drama. They learn the art of survival not from speakers or classes. Tolerance level they maintain from their living circumstances made them Unfuckblewith. ⠀ They follow set of codes to make their life moving. SOUL OF MUMBAI 2 ⠀ When driver Slide down the wind shield to take tickets for famous sea link bridge. A warm smell of dry fish rushed in & it stays for a minute. ⠀ Sealink, an international standard design and construction, a link through sea which connect Bandra and Worli. ⠀ You can’t walk, you can’t use two-wheelers, you can’t go by rickshaw, in short if you are poor this bridge is not for you. Maybe you can click a selfie from far end. ⠀ Bridge gives you fast ride above the sea. Clear vision of skyscrapers, on the bottom we see some colored match’s like shelters. That’s Worli village, the place where I spend my day and night on all these 15 days. WORLI, 8 acres of sea shore converted into shelter for 55000 people by record & actual amount of 80000 in real.can you imagine ? Entrance to this village is a bottleneck. Parked bike acts like a wall. A pedestrian from the other side can make a 30 min of traffic. Words can’t Explain about what I saw one way to the core village. ⠀ Brain start produce some emotional hormones at first time. When I watch closer I realize that I don’t need to pretend like that. For what ? Are they look sad. ? Disturbed ? Depressed. ? It’s a Slum, real hardcore Mumbai slum, better call it a village, it sounds peaceful. Am inside the slum now. Lot of precautions & alerts produced in brain to become more conscious. People will be rude, they can snatch your bag, They might be rude, dress can get dirty, plagues & Jaundice roaming around to attach you. RULES FOR FIT LIFE 🍃 ⠀ Freedom starts when you stop thinking about what others things. There are stories of Legends who lost life battles because of they hide their fears . Freddie Mercury Hide his homophobia, Eminem’s drug addiction ,Conspiracy about Michael Jackson, so many similar stories.Nothing makes sense about talking about someone after their death. Are you happy now, that really counts. Some people used to tell me that they will go to Gym once they looks presentable in that place. That’s hilarious. Some are scare to wear tang tops , some people don’t wear shorts, some need a proper shower and grooming before gym. First you must understand what’s the purpose of going to Gym. You don’t need to bother about others feelings . You are trying to bettering yourself. You are unique, your body is unique. You might be black , brown or white , fat , slim or skinny , doesn’t matter where you are , start from there. Set your fears free. SOUL OF MUMBAI ⠀ When flight touchdown, a disturbing seed planted into my subconscious mind. Mumbai , the place where Richest man & poorest guy in India share neighbourhood. City start unfolding in never ending traffic. I said to myself the very first minutes in Mumbai , “ I hate this city “. So that negative thought attracted me more & gave me chance to travel more than 3 times now to the different corners of Mumbai . I slowly start to feel the smell & vibe of Mumbai which holds the people of Mumbai to say proud that they are mumbaikar . It’s impossible for them to live without this chaos which have a pattern. Start find excitement in filthy , dirty , messed up part of corners . ⠀ This time I happent to fall into soul of Mumbai . Worli, where human packed inside a match box house for shelter. Before reach to the soul, I spend 3 hrs of day in Taj lands end Hotel where big shots all over the world do relax , business & entertainment. Taj take us to the kings era where you got served anything and everything . Fresh air Fragrance of flowers, hospitality at peak. Beauty of women will welcome you in Indian traditional way on doorsteps. Why we need to speak more. If you yawn there will be someone to snap finger for you .Money can take you to the time of King & Queen. ⠀ Once we cross the gate of palace you can see the real Mumbai with her colours. Cutting chai , vada Pav , Dubba vala, shining black n yellow taxi & rickshaw. Closed car takes me away from the smell and hotness outside. Romantic horny couples where still sitting on the sea shore. Sun was not a challenge in front of their love. He hide his hands inside her cloths to prevent sun tan & she hide her face to his face. View through the car window was pretty good. The LegenD - Brain Lara ⠀ 1990s peak of cricket , days where I pretend like random sickness to cut class and stay home to watch cricket. Sachin era on the peak , I was stupid enough to go for play cricket the same evening. Handmade wooden bat & Rubber balls , Hilarious Rules, it was good time & I grew up like a confident cricketer . Dream was to watch match in stadium. ⠀ But in the flow of time I got opportunity to stay with Sachin Tendulkar as a security guard. Can you imagine it was in 2013. When I saw this legend at Mumbai Taj Gym. A small lightning happen inside me. I walk straight to him like a confident guy . Due to the over excitement words stuck inside. ⠀⠀A MUSCULAR STORY ⠀ If you ask about how to build muscular physique to a pro bodybuilder or me , the essence of answers will be approximately same.Because the basic rule is same. If the question is How it influence me ? Then I have my own experience to share. ⠀ I was skin & bones on my age of 16. Kind of proof that ape to moneky transformation . Dark brown skin , absence of facial muscle cause my teeth looks bit projected. Confidence was -1/10 . Never though about a girlfriend. Hate public functions . Not interested to wear new cloths . Introduce myself in public was such a challenge to me. Sounds like I am going to sell some slim belt right. ? ⠀ No, it’s some raw truth that extracted from my real life. Fitness was in my blood, I grew up watching my fit dad with broad chest huge arms doing exercise at home. A hardcore old school. I was passionate . What ever happens I hit gym. Even after my grandmas funeral ( immaturity). Gym became a friendly place. From there I learned self discipline, pain of failure. Importance of consistency & lot more. When I get healthier and stronger my motivation and attitude elevates . Personality , way of thinking ,mood swings, it was so visible . That impact over me . ⠀ For me muscles are not for a stage appearance or special occasion to show off. Maturity came along with muscles . Am not an owner of a showcase Personality. But I believe it’s not bad. My attitude , the way I talk, the dress I wear, the work I do,All these are rooted on my fit body. Am not saying that fit body can deliver all these things by standing on the land of Mahatma Gandhi. IF YOU FAIL - FALL FORWARD ⠀ I am a person who believes that everyone have their on Choice & their own individual space in their life . You can sit on a comfy couch & do channel surfing with cheese balls, you can sell tea on street, you can be an author , an artist , a playboy , a feminist, Gay , a rebel or a fitness freak. You have freedom of choice. ⠀ Once you dream about something that demands self discipline and some amount of consistent work , it’s a long shot. It’s hard to move with a brain which sense uncomfortableness in all situations & mind that can drift your decision from now to after sometimes in a span of 5 sec. ⠀ Its was not easy for me to quit a Job which allows gives a steady income ,reputation, salary & allowance. Prepared For National defence exam 4 times & failed in Row. It was not easy to get up 4 am in the morning, cook & pack my food and go to gym for work. It was not easy to run along a month with a 4 digit salary in a metro city, Broken Bike and Head full of dreams. Naysayers, Swollen muscles , tiring schedules,broken relationships , failures back to back. Never think about miss a workout session or boozing till late night which can drop my energy level to 1%. ⠀ When I fail , I FALL FORWARD. I never regret for my choice and decision. I took the responsibility for who I am and what I am doing. There is only 2 things can happen if you go and attempt-SUCESS OR FAILURE . You will taste success or you will learn from failure. BROTHERHOOD ⠀ We grown up in a middle class Indian family. It means we got education & food at right time along with a proper place to sleep & chicken on Sunday. As a 90’s kids, we grown up without cellphones and internet. We were best in real life games, like with cards, seeds , collection of stickers, catching birds,fish and butterflies, excel in cricket,football , badminton.sportive kids. In time we realise that we have same taste. Being in good shape & playing guitar is some of them in many dreams. @johncena in WWF & @slash from guns are roses became idols. We Both had almost same dreams. ⠀ Here comes the process part, We started workout & we bought a guitar 9 years back. @arju_doz_santoz was not that okey with early schedules, prepare meal and hard times in Gym. But he was patient enough for late night practice , YouTube lessons and all.I even made fun on him when he do practice 2-3 hrs late night for straight more than years.I was not patient enough to learn codes. When I wake up at 4am and cook he pulled my legs too. After all Nine years, I feel proud to see him playing live for multiple band as lead guitarist. Same time I feel grateful with my fitness achievements & my excelling career. ⠀ Let me tell you the hard truth. We don’t always become what we dream for. We become what we work for & it’s okey to lose on our dreams.accept the reality.We love to sit there and dream about crowd chanting on ur music. But You didn’t love the process you love the result. You were not ready for daily practice. Finding a group & rehearsing. No Funds & Motivations. Practicing Metal in land of melodies. The pain of finding gigs. Actually getting people to show up. The broken strings. SHORT SPAN MOTIVATION ⠀ Why you brush your teeth everyday ? Its a habit,Right. ? Why you drink coffee or tea everyday ? Ofcourse, its a habit. If all these became a habit why you cant make your clean eating and workout as a habit. ⠀ I think May be because you are not getting spot result.Isnt it. ? When you brush you feel fresh. When you drink coffee, you feel good. But when you workout your tummy looks the same after the session or after a healthy meal.
