Contrary to what some transformation experts think, this is not a sumo squat. . It’s called a sumo deadlift. . When you set up, you want your shins as vertical as possible and your hips slightly higher than your knees. . Grip the bar inline or slightly outside of your shoulder width. This will allow you to keep your chest upright and your back tight. Do not place your hands in the centre of the bar. . To break the floor, focus on applying lateral force (spread the floor), be patient and focus on accelerating to your lockout. .
