Monday 225 felt like the heaviest I had ever lifted...today I came in with 5x5 (75-85% Max) to do starting at 185 and was able to get a 6th set in at 225! 💪🏽 • You won’t have a great workout every day, but if you keep attacking it you will find that you can do shit that felt impossible just days before! S L O W • D O W N I find myself telling my clients to “slow down” when doing an exercise. They always say “I’m just trying to get it over with!” There is so much benefit (muscle stabilization, control, and strength with time under tension) to be gained from working on the eccentric or negative of an exercise (the down)! What good does it do to make a plan to get better and then rush through it. Someone who works out twice a week, but is focused and meticulous in movement and activating and engaging the proper muscles will get much better results than someone who works out 4x a week, but rushes through the workout and is sloppy (and they are a lot more likely to get injured). ✨CHALLENGE✨During your next workout, work on negative reps and pause reps (google is your friend)!Focus & Let it burn! 💪🏽 • #eunoiafit #eatclean #traindirty #movemountains #fitqueen #timeundertension #negativereps #pausereps #fitwomen #dallaspersonaltrainer #womenwholift #dallasfitnessambassadors

KEEP IT SIMPLE! ✨One of the reasons you can’t commit to changing your nutrition is that you’re over complicating it! You went from eating out most days to trying to make extravagant Pinterest meals in one day and then you wonder why you’re overwhelmed! Start simple, protein, complex carb, vegetable, play with marinades and seasonings for variety! Let your body get used to the change, prove to yourself that you can be consistent, then start tryna audition for Chopped! Lol • OMG A POTATO 😱 What do you do with it..EAT IT! This one is for all of my coffee drinkers!! ☕️ Skip all of the sugar and creamer and opt for GAINS! I don’t drink coffee often but when I do, I mix in my current fav protein powder @rivalus chocolate flavor! 24g protein in my coffee! I’ll take it! Yes work is great, hard work is amazing, but there is such thing as overworking your body and overtraining which can lead to injury and plateaus in your training! Listen to your body...there is a definite difference between pain and being tired or muscle fatigue! You can work around injuries by training other body parts while you heal, but remember to REST! I woke up this morning with the urge to jump 1000 miles per hour into my day, so many things I need to do, figure out, fix.....breathe.....I’m bad about letting stress build up to the point that it is debilitating. Post workout PULL UP BURN OUT! 🔥 Every back day starts with a warm up of 50 pull ups/chin-ups (assistance is used when necessary). Today ended with a pull up burn out on pretty much a dead back 😂 it hurt so good! Lol If you’ve been following me for a while you know pull-ups has always been my weakest point....5 months ago I couldn’t do any pull ups without help, now I’m burning out bodyweight at 8 with no help. I try to stay away from complex carbs before bed. Carbs are used to fuel your body to make it through the day...I don’t need fuel to sleep. High protein, double up on the veggies, and healthy fat (salmon is a good source of far & protein). If I’m needing more recovery from a tough workout I’ll drink my BCAAs or Turmeric tea (aids in muscle recovery and reducing inflammation.) Different goals require different things, the time of day you workout plays a role as well!
