Air Tindi is proud to have provided transportation to the Yellowknife Skating Club. Our Dash 7 took these skaters and their families to Hay River for the 2019 NWT Region STARSkate Invitational.
Please note that the Celebration of Life for Will & Zach will be available on live stream via the Air Tindi Ltd. Facebook Page.
Yellowknife's most popular lookout is perched atop "The Rock" rising above Old Town. Bush Pilot's Monument pays homage to the gutsy bush pilots who helped open up the NWT nearly a century ago! The monument also serves a practical purpose: When the light atop the tower is flashing, it indicates that that floatplanes or skiplanes are active on nearby Yellowknife Bay. Longtime Yellowknifer, and accomplished Author and Photographer Bill Braden was on CKLB Radio this morning talking about his 4th book “The Air Tindi Story - Flying the Burgundy Tail for 30 Years!”. Filled with a diverse assortment of high quality original photos, this book traces the earliest days of aviation in Yellowknife, going back over 90 years! It also tells the underdog success story of how the Arychuk family and their equally hard-working team started a little bush airline 30 years ago. It explores the way Air Tindi works today, the communities it serves, and the specialty charter service that makes Air Tindi the go-to experts for safe, reliable flying across Canada’s North! Available at Gallery of the Midnight Sun,Down to Earth Gallery, The Yellowknife Book Cellar The Cabin (Airport Gift Shop), and at the Air Tindi Sched Service Building & Floatbase.
