Art doesn’t always need to be on a wall to be appreciated. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sometimes it’s the place where you’ll see it most that’s the best. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sent via @planoly #planoly #ginabelfordart #love #airballons #hotairballoons #bristol #bath #hearts #sparklehearts #artforsalebyartist #bookcase #2019goals #womeninbusiness #paletteknifepaintings #paletteknifepainting #localartist #weddingfavours #weddingfavourideas #bristolgifts #bathgifts #weddinggifts #somersetartist #art #artforsale #bristolbrides #engagementgift #acrylicpainting #oilpainting

B is for being back (to the studio) and B is for Balloons :)) 4 new sparkly air balloons finished. I’m working on my plans for 2019 too. It’s going to be exciting to see how it progresses.

Just the best start to being back from a lovely break, networking with @freelancemum01. Here I am with the very talented photographer Nicola from @nicolajphoto so no pressure there then taking a selfie with a professional photographer! Nicola and I know each other from sixth form and she took my beautiful wedding photos but more recently we’ve got back in touch with each other via Freelance Mum, love how that happens in life. Have a look at Nicola’s page and maybe follow her! Networking always makes me feel motivated and ready to work on my business. So here’s to a productive and successful 2019.

And then there were five 💗 same walk as Christmas Eve but this time with the family complete. We all needed the walk, we were getting a little stir crazy after the Christmas craziness! We’re so lucky to have the woods just walking distance from the house. Now about to stuff our faces with late lunch/ dinner.

My 2018 best of nine. I love how there is a real mixture of personal photos, hearts, balloons and my seascape paintings so in fact my best of nine has captured a representation of me and my work. Happy New Year’s Eve to you and your loved ones. This is probably my favourite commission of 2018. An elephant walking slowly but purposely, strong in body and mind with a calm and gentle presence.

It’s time for me to sign off for a while to spend Christmas with my loved ones. We’ve had a lush day today, watching Nativity Rocks with some great friends this morning and a gorgeous walk this afternoon. Can’t wait to see the other 2 small (not so small anymore) people on Boxing Day. Merry Christmas everyone. Hope it’s peaceful and happy one x

When your husband admits that he’s forgotten to buy you an anniversary card and you say jokingly ‘don’t worry I have a card you can buy that’s perfect for an anniversary’ and he does 🤣 It seems my ‘love & sparkle’ heart card was a big hit this year for anniversaries and I love knowing that they are being passed on with love. Gives me a warm and fuzzy glow.

With Christmas almost here I just wanted to say a BIG heartfelt THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. On 31st July this year my dream became a reality when I left my corporate HR role and became a self employed artist. I’ve had so much support from my gorgeous family and many, many friends. You are ALL truly the best! So it’s a thank you to everyone who has supported me whether through kind words and encouragement or have bought a painting from me, from big to small or personal commissions. Thanks for believing in me 💗 I’m now planning hearts for Valentines and some ideas for wedding favours! Watch this space... Wishing you all a very Merry and peaceful Christmas filled with love.

Getting ready for High Littleton School Christmas Fayre on Saturday (4-6pm). It’s going to be a lovely way to sign off as the last of my events in 2018.

So I went rogue and choose dusky pink sparkle. I think I was channeling Christmas baubles!! Well if ever there’s a time for sparkle it’s now right...!?!?!!!

It’s Small Business Saturday today and I’m so grateful to everyone who shops Small and those who have bought from me 💕 I started my Small Business this year and I love every part of what it brings. Here’s my little family... well a representation of them. I bought these at The Little Christmas pop up shop yesterday and they are made locally by Huckvale’s handmade. Aren’t they adorable...!!! Over on my Facebook page I’ve added a listing of the ‘love & sparkle’ hearts that I have available and which you can buy from me. Happy Saturday however you are spending it 🎉#smallbizsat

One of my ‘love & sparkle’ hearts available at the little Christmas pop up shop in Timsbury, BA2 OHU. I went to visit today and bought some lovely Christmas gifts, some gifts for the children and me too! See my previous posts for details. It’s open 10-5pm all weekend

Making more balloons. Have I ever said how much I LOVE my job?!?! I adore the rich dark pink hues with a flicker of dark teal in this one. But which sparkle to use... multi, dark pink or gold...? Or all 3? Which would you choose?

Looking forward to setting up here today ready for start on Thursday at the pre-view evening. It’s going to be a gorgeous little Christmas shopping experience and if you like to buy from local artists/artisans then you’ll love it.

So I once heard someone describe my ‘ love & sparkle’ hearts as .... ‘she colours the paper and then cuts out a heart’... well I guess that’s sort of right if you call painting ‘colouring paper’ but I like to think there’s a lot more that goes into my ‘love & sparkle’ hearts than that. So I thought I’d show you the before and after so you can see that my hearts, stars or balloons start as abstract paintings and tell you about my process. I decide on the colour palette I want to create and then I start to paint using palette knives (plural as I always use way more than one type of palette knife - I have lots!). I usually end up with an A4 sized painting which I have loads of fun doing. Once dried I use one of my hand drawn templates and hand cut the heart choosing the exact part of the painting I think will look most beautiful. And finally I add a little sparkle to where I think it will accentuate the painting the best. So you see there’s a lot of thought and love that goes into making these 💕 If you’d like to see my work up close, maybe pop along to the lovely Winter Fayre at the BookBarn International in Hallatrow this Thursday 4-9pm. I’d love to see you and say hi 👋@bookbarn_international

So here I am next to my painting ‘beach bathed in gold’ at the beautiful Leigh Court in Bristol. I am so excited to reveal that I made it through the selection and I am one of the 9 artists to have been chosen by Fill That Space to have my painting exhibited in Leigh Court from now until 19 February. I had a great day yesterday visiting Leigh Court and seeing all 12 paintings hanging so beautifully together. My painting is acrylic/ oil and gold leaf on canvas (50x60cm) and painted using palette knife. I’ll share a video later from Fill that space which shows all 12 paintings.

I’ve lightened the photo a touch as the other one is a too dark. I can’t edit the other post 🙈🙈🙈🙈#instagramnovice
