Hornet Racing was at K1 Speed Sacramento today for the Karts, Kids, & Cars Toy Drive! Hosted by Dreams and Drivers (@dreamsanddrivers), this toy drive benefits Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Sutter Children’s Hospital. Special thanks to everyone who donated and dropped off toys on site, @k1speed Sacramento for inviting us, @gooddaysac for a wonderful morning segment of this event, and to the team for participating in this charity event! Special credits also go to Team President, @chrismorairtyphotography, for sharing this post on Facebook! Getting the most out of our Thanksgiving break with a track test day. 🏁🏎
There are so many great things to be thankful for this year. We are thankful for yet another year of success in creating a completely redesigned car and showing how teamwork really makes the dream work. We are thankful for our friends, family, #fsae community, mentors, and sponsors whose support is essential to the realization of many of our team goals for both the last season and the current season. We are thankful for the team members of #hornetracing who have dedicated many hours and many sleepless nights—there’s many more to come. We are thankful for vending machines and 24/7 food places for keeping us company at times when everybody is asleep but us. We are thankful for our computers for holding tight when doing hours of simulations and renderings, even when encountered with blue screens of death. And most importantly, we are thankful for fast, fast cars. Happy thanksgiving, everyone! 💚
Sometimes, we’re on our computers and calculators. Other times, we’re in the shop. Welding workshops just began this month, and we’ll have more to come as we move further into manufacturing. Stay tuned!
