Some think Pilates is just for women. Think again! Pilates was created by a man (Joseph Pilates) while detained as a resident alien in an internment camp at the start of WWI. He led his fellow detainees in a daily exercise program. When brought to the attention of the camp leaders, he was given a job of rehabbing wounded soldiers.
