It’s been over 3 years since I last composed type 🤭
“It’s the footprint we leave on the earth that matters. The way we love not only ourselves, but those around us. . It is strange to think, that as the leading nation of the world - our morality is decaying, and humanity being lost. As leaders, it is our job to not only protect, but be the example that other countries are supposed to follow. . If we cannot protect those whom are endangered. Then in the end, who do we become. . How you can help - share it to stop it...” - @animalhopeandwellness Visit @humanesociety to sign the petition #repost @theellenshow (@get_repost) ・・・ I’m determined to do something about this. Home doesn’t feel right without her. ☹️ She’s at the vet now for an early AM surgery #tplo
10 minutes squished into 1. It doesn’t look like much but getting here took months and we still have much more to go. Nevertheless I’m excited that nail-trimmings are now low stress for her. #petsbehavingwell #dremel #positivedoghusbandry #pibbleswhonibble
If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote "me too" as their status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem. #metoo I actually found myself thinking about deleting this post because I was afraid it would be perceived as a cry for attention, that what happened to me weren’t big deals... #notokay
PSA for #pitbullawarenessmonth A dog doesn’t necessarily use all the steps. If we miss your dog’s early signals, we risk your dog eventually skipping to the signs that ‘work’, that is, the ones that make the bad thing go away. #alldogsareindividuals #itsbullawareness #repost @iaabcbehavior & @trailblazingtails ・・・ Here is a good reminder of the Aggression Escalation Ladder. It is important that the general public understands that often times aggression is not out of the blue. Often times, animals are trying to communicate ahead of time that they are uncomfortable. Please take their signs into consideration. #iaabc #iaabcbehavior #aggression #dogs #caninebodylanguage #caninecommunication #listentoyourdog ・・・ Aggression rarely happens “out of the blue.” Growling and barking are part of canine communication and often a result of fear. Listen to your dog, they are telling you something.
Going through @catchcaninetrainersacademy reading assignments and she decided to be a case study. She’s reacting to the book hiding / revealing my face.

Some people are bald. Some have full heads of hair. Some have blonde hair. Some have brown hair. Some have red hair. Some are tall. Some are short. Some have almond shaped eyes. Some have round eyes. Some have dark skin. Some have light skin. Some have blue eyes. Some have brown eyes. Some are young. Some are old. Some have short tempers. Some are quiet. Some are friendly. Some would rather be alone. Some like chocolate. Some prefer potato chips. Some are skinny. Some are muscular. Some are athletic. Some are studious. Some scare easy. Some are stubborn. Some are brave. All these different characteristics and yet a single species. The same applies for dogs. A pitbull is a(n) [insert other breed here] with short hair, muscular build, and medium height. They're not the best. They're not vicious. They're jaws don't lock. It's not how they're raised. They're not nanny dogs. They're not the more resilient breed. They do not need a heavy hand to show them who's boss. They do not eat smaller dogs. They're individuals. Humans are individuals. We raise awareness campaigns and protests in hopes that one day humankind learns that groups of people and dogs (especially those we don't personally know) don't fit into imaginary boxes. #itsbullawareness #alldogsareindividuals
Guess who tore their other CCL? 👉🏼🐕 #dogsoncouches at the vet, no less.
@campbowwow asked us to celebrate dogs & share the special things we do for them. Once upon a time he had a strict "no dog on the couch" rule. Nowadays, you can usually find these two fast asleep on the couch in one tender embrace or another. #giveafetch
How easy it is to interpret a person/animals behavior thus assuming what they're feeling (subjective) rather than observing the actual behaviors we are seeing (objective) and then reacting based on our interpretation. "He's definitely mad at me. I mean he hasn't texted in like 3 hours. I'm totally gonna keep calling until he picks up." #crazygirlfriend #stage4clinger _________________ #repost @theacademyfordogtrainers (@get_repost) ・・・ Wise words from staffer, Kelly Duggan, who hits the nail on the head when it comes to euphemisms being used in ways that can hurt dogs rather than help them.
What is this? A palace for ANTS?? It has to be at least ... 3 ... times ... bigger!

This little piggy rolled in 💩 this morning 5 minutes before I had to leave for work. Thank goodness for baby wipes and baking soda. She doesn't know it yet but she's getting a 🛀 tonight. #sorrynotsorry
#repost @theacademyfordogtrainers ・・・ When working with dogs, understanding what motivates things like guarding is important. And understanding that ritualized aggression is species-normal and the way dogs say "back off" or resolve conflict without the high price of uninhibited aggression is more important. Understanding how to fix behavior problems such as guarding is most important. Mine: A Practical Guide to Resource Guarding in Dogs is considered by many to be the go-to manual on guarding behaviors in dogs, you can purchase it on dogwise.com

Hola if you know what these are 😎 #10yearsold
"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to." "I don't care much where -" "Then it doesn't matter which way you go."
Channeling her inner @chrissyteigen 👄👙
Learning that ear cleanings are no big deal. Stressing her (and myself) out, chasing her around and holding her down are thankfully a thing of the past. #petsbehavingwell
Want some 🧀 (or seaweed) with that 🍷? 🎻🎼
