Bits of England from my Morris Minor. ✉️ - firstname.lastname@example.org
Just stopping by with a big fluffy wisteria to say hi 💜 I’ve been a bit quiet with moving stress this week. Aaron and I had our first ‘wow we could totally live here’ viewing - we visited a gorgeous little cottage in a village that’s both near the city and far away from it all (and it’s right next to our allotment woohoo). Now I have to put my rose tinted spectacles away and go for a rational second viewing. Goshhhh I want a cottage. 🙈
Ad | Time for my favourite conversation starter: ‘what would you do if you won the lottery?’, but with a twist... what would you do if you won £10K every month for the next 30 years? My dream is to travel to every historic site and area of natural beauty in the UK (with the Aaron and the dog 🐶!). Every place I want to visit is saved on maps on my phone, and we would make those pins become memories. @tnluk ’s newest game ‘Set For Life’ gives players the chance to do something amazing every single month. Launching 15th March. #setforlifetnl #amazingstartshere #ad
What’s your favourite National Trust property? My favourites (in no particular order) are: Tyntesfield, Waddesdon Manor, Scotney Castle (pictured here) Oh and also Sissinghurst gardens in the Summer are an absolute dream 😍 My aim this year is to explore more places in the Midlands and above as we’ve pretty much exhausted the South. Suggestions welcome. 💌
Have you ever seen a library more amazing than this? (Genuine question because if you have I want to go there 🙈)
Kinda Spring but kinda Winter at Chastleton House. 🙈 Hope you’re having a good Tuesday. 😘
Someone commented here a few months ago saying moving house is one of the most stressful life events you can experience. I think I’m starting to understand now 😂😂 I’m like this weird mix of excited and terrified and melancholic and absolutely over the moon. Who knew you could have all of those feelings at once?! We’ve been saving up for maybe three or four years now and we’re going for our first lot of viewings on Monday. Yay for a new chapter and a place I can decorate to my eccentric tastes haha. If you have advice feel free to share! Here is a belated carousel of snowdrop photos from Kingston Lacy. 💛
I’m not sure if people still use insta when we’re having a heatwave and it’s nicer to sit outside and be phone-free 🤔. Hello if you’re still here! Here are some from Snowdonia and climbing mount Snowdon/some other mountain next to Snowdon because we walked the wrong way. 😆
A caption I’ve been meaning to write forever but have not yet gotten round to doing so... what is your personality type/MBTI? And if you don’t know it, feel free to look up ‘16 type personality test’ then come back and share your results. 🤗 My type is INFJ and Aaron’s is INFP. I’ve found that I’m naturally drawn to NF types and I especially love INFPs. I love it so much when you become friends with someone and can drop the ‘what’s your type?’ into conversation (because I’ve probably been guessing all along haha).
Swipe for snowdrops. ☃️ My mother-in-law and I have been out looking for snowdrops this month. Welford Park was a clear winner (though it’s tricky to capture quite how amazing the snowdrop woodland is with a photo). You might recognise the grounds from Great British Bake Off if you’re a fan!
Ad | Aaron and I headed to @penhaligons_london for a his & hers fragrance profiling session. You’ll notice lots of concentration faces in the carousel whilst we try to figure out which fragrances are our favourites and how they work with our skin 🙈 Aaron fell for Sartorial, and I for Orange Blossom (but it was a hard decision because I love all of their floral scents). You can phone your chosen Penhaligon’s branch to book a fragrance profiling session either for yourself or with a friend, or for a mini online profiling you can follow the link in my stories. #verypenhaligons #whp❤️
Today was supposed to be a day for sharing snowdrop photos, but we got snowed in the day we’d planned to visit. ☃️ If you’re reading this from anywhere other than the UK, I’m sure you find our definition of ‘snowed in’ hilarious. Five centimetres of snow and we collectively give up and the supermarkets sell out of bread. 😆 Sometimes plans just aren’t meant to be. So here are some photos from Summer instead to keep us going. ❤️
I don’t have much new content to share at the moment but I really miss posting/reading and replying to comments (not to mention how much I miss taking photos, omg). We’re pretty busy at the moment as Aaron is finishing his final year at university (and he’s working too). I’m doing a handful of creative courses and working on a new business. Though honestly the most important thing I’m doing is readdressing my routine and looking after myself a bit more as I became quite depressed at the end of last year. For the moment it has been good to have some time away. Moderation and stuff. (TLDR - soz for quiet, will be back soon 😘).
