β€˜I AM STANDING UP FOR MEN SPEAKING OUT’ . . . Every week, 84 men in the UK take their own lives. The majority will have suffered in silence or tried to self-medicate...and failed. Many men are too embarrassed to admit to themselves or others when they are mentally struggling to cope, believing it somehow makes them appear weak and less of a man. . . As men our β€˜strong and silent’ response is costing too many lives preventing many of us from seeking help when we need it most. . . It’s time for us to be Strong NOT Silent and share our struggles. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” I personally struggle with feeling of β€œnot doing enough” and in certain areas of life it’s limiting self belief. However I’m working on it every day, just because you haven’t done something before doesn’t mean you shouldn’t learn up-skill and give it a go. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ALWAYS GO WHERE THE FEAR IS! Fear of new and unknown. πŸ˜Žβ€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” I grew up in environment where men were suppose to only reflect physical and mental-strength, self confidence and integrity, any sign of weakness was not acceptable. The most valued qualities were hard work, discipline and keeping your mouth shut and work-kind of attitude. Being different from others and doing things in your own way wasn’t very common. Maybe that’s why many men try to β€œescape” by drinking alcohol excessively... β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Our past made us who we are today. When I analysed my own diet I found myself guilty of not eating enough vegetable and greens. Most of us probably don’t eat enough of it, simply because its boring and instant reward from the taste is very low for most people. Taste of a juicy burger or steak is more appealing, however fresh veggies is absolutely essential in our diet. I am not going to waste time talking about how good vegetable is for you. Even 5 years old know.... Vitamins, minerals, hydration, fibre, DAILY bowel movement - yes πŸ’© should happen daily! β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” My point is how can you eat more if it? β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” 1️⃣ When eating out simply order fresh salat as a starter and eat it first before your main meal, there is also bigger chance you won’t have room for a dessert. πŸ–πŸΌπŸ°πŸš«β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” 2️⃣ Pack fresh vegetable with you as a snack between meals, eat it whenever hungry. Your habits brought you where you are today, whether it’s health, shape of your body or savings. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” The state of your health and body shape is very likely reflection of your previous behaviour and choices. Nobody will get out of shape over night or by accident, it’s all about repeating the same actions over and over again. Unless we change what we do everyday we will never maintain desired shape or condition. #habits #change #good #bad

What should I eat after training? Protein and Carbs 1:2. Why? β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” When you move/train your body needs energy, it taps into stored glycogen. Glycogen is a form of glucose (the simplest form of carbs) stored in our muscles and liver. Depending on the intensity and duration of session glycogen will get partially depleted. A similar process is happening with muscle protein, after intense workout part of it will be broken down, damaged and used for energy. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Straight out after a workout, your body is trying to repair the damage, it needs both glycogen (carbs) and protein to replenish lost nutrients/energy. By eating carbs and proteins your body can do this faster and more effectively. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Fuel your body with carbs and proteins within 30-45min after your workout and you will slow down muscle protein break down, accelerate glycogen re-synthesis, increase muscle protein synthesis, increase muscle building processes and enhance recovery. The recommended amount is 1g per 1kg of body weight of carbs and 0.5g/kg of body weight of Protein. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” By adding fats you will slow down digestion but it won't be less effective, my advice would be if you are in calorie deficit add some fat to stay fuller for longer and consider extra calories from fats, and if you are in surplus go without fat and you will be hungrier sooner and squeeze another meal in. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Keep in mind the most important is the overall energy intake. You can have the best post workout meal but when you over eat - you won't lose fat and when you under eat you won't build muscles. #fuelyourbody

About one year ago I quit vegan way of eating, after trying it for 4 months I realised I missed this the most. πŸ₯©As much as I enjoyed feeling light after plant based meals plus some other benefits I couldn’t stick to it longer. It was very time consuming and unless you have somebody like @one.stella or @cook_with_amore making magic happen in kitchen it can get very boring. I don’t believe we are supposed to eat only plant based foods (sorry my vegan friends I still love you 😘). I think 65mil years humans being omnivores speak for itself. Anyways who knows what’s right or wrong? I suggest to test it, try it and then decide. Let's just take a moment to admire this beautiful piece of meat. πŸ˜‹ #steak #meat #vegan #tryandsee

The first moment you start to exercise with the intention to look better you never will be completely satisfied, there always will be a weak point of muscular development, or that annoying flab hanging over your underwear, something always can be better. Everything can be improved over time with consistent work but unless we are going to change what we do on a daily basis and of course our priorities it will never happen. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Ask yourself what is more important to you? β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ❓The idea of having a six-pack or idea having 5 beers on a Friday afternoon? β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ❓Taste of a donut vs. dress 2 sizes smaller? β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ❓Exercise early in the morning vs "I don't have time in the morning" (i.e. it is not important to me.) β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” ❓Watching evening news and finding of a murder on the other side of the planet vs early night good sleep? β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” No wrong answer here, only more and less important. #importance #time #priorities
