Beware the line of force! Lat Pulldown is often done wrong. Look at the line of force. Lean away and focus on pulling with the cable in a straight line for optimal muscle recruitment. There a many different ways to train your lat, and you should. One part of my new book „Mobility: das große Handbuch“ keeps a focus on the segmental mobilization of the spine. Coordination and motor control are always an important part in the mobility training. In this exercise you keep your thoracic spine in controlled flexion and focus on the mobilization of the lumbopelvic hip complex (LPHC). How to spot a partner? For some coaches and trainees spotting seems to be something difficult. Just follow these rules for optimal spotting technique: 👉 just help when the weight is not moving any more. In other cases stay away with your hands from the weight! 👉focus on your partner and not on your smartphone or the girl training next to you! 👉 just help as much as needed. Don‘t throw the weight! 👉 look for a stable position. For some exercises you need to focus on how to position yourself! 👉 get out of the way! Don‘t spot the squat unless there are two spotters.
