29/04/18 | Kanzo, Parramatta | Grilled salmon roll ($17); large king prawn tempura roll ($11); large soft shell crab roll ($14); dragon roll ($18); large pork katsu avo roll ($10) - Kanzo is almost the mirror image of Sakura Fresh in Revesby—from the menu, to the generous fillings, and the fact that it's also run by Koreans. - Everything was tasty although the tempura prawn roll was a little lacklustre (plus we realised both the aburi salmon and the unagi roll already had tempura prawn and avo in their filling). - The aburi salmon here is a notch better than Sakura Fresh, with slightly bigger pieces of salmon and just a fresher look and taste overall. I quite enjoyed the meaty soft shell crab despite it not being freshly fried. And the katsu avo—where the katsu WAS freshly fried—is one of life's simple pleasures 😍
