Take note when you see photos on social media and spare a moment for all the photos that never made it to the feed. 🧐 I love my body equally in both photos (guys, it’s so cool to be able to say that!) and I think this is part because I’m taking control of my Instagram feed. There are some easy steps you can take to control you feed so that what you subscribe to boosts your confident and helps you realise that you are worthy, and good enough, instead of tearing you down. 💕 From now on... and over the next few weeks, @instagram are rolling out some changes from allowing you to see how long you spend scrolling (and get reminded when it’s been to long 🙈) to letting you control who comments on your posts to prevent body bullies... or just normal kinda bullies! If you follow people who are narcissistic, self conscious and extreme, you are tricked into thinking “this is what success looks like”. On the other hand, when you follow people who are genuine, real and are saying something beyond ‘look at me’, your goal posts shift. 🙌 if you truly want to be healthy and balanced, follow people who are healthy and balanced. If you want to be happy, follow people who are happy in themselves. The content you subscribe to changes you. And you can choose which direction to go. Your definition of what a healthy, fulfilling and successful life looks like will shift and you’ll start to feel more comfortable in your skin and be able to recognise your intrinsic worthiness 💕

What we were just learning about in class! #repost @livecleangetwellwithmelissa with @get_repost ・・・ My kids and I participated in our first @seashepherdadelaide beach clean this morning at Semaphore Beach. I couldn't believe my eyes at the amount of rubbish accumulated in the hour before we had got there. We were given tongs and a bucket and headed off on our rubbish hunt. It was actually great fun, and in some way therapeutic, I think the mixture of fresh sea air and the feeling of making a difference to the environment and marine life made this experience the first of many! After watching @Bluethefilm2017 realised the importance of picking up even the smallest piece of plastic so that it wouldn't end up in a seagull's stomach! We found what looked like pieces of foam from a dumped mattres, was so sad to see it sitting there in the sand dunes! The final pile consisted of anything from shoes, clothes, books, bottles, plastics, chairs, signs and SO much more!! A big shout out to the Sea Shepherd SA team for their leadership and dedication!! Am looking forward to next month's clean, who's joining me?!💖🌊🌏

In class today we learnt about how one of the purposes of packaging is to protect our food from contaminants. One sort of contaminant can be pests such as weevils. #weevils can enter through packaging and lay eggs and can contaminate all foods found in the pantry. This story shows the occurrence of weevils in my pantry that I found, through to the exorcism I performed with peppermint oil, clove and bay leaves and the last photo 6 months post and (touchwood) no reoccurrences! #pantry #pests #foodpackaging
